Henry had a wonderful time on his boat ride on Monday! But today, he wants to dance.
Henry really wants to ask his friend Hilda if she will dance with him, but he looks a little shy, doesn't he? Hilda is a professional ballerina, and Henry is more into just Hipping and Hopping around and having a fun time.
But Henry went to all the trouble of putting on his pretty Tahitian Tide Plaid vest, so he's working on getting up his courage to ask Hilda. Hilda looks beautiful in her Sweet Sorbet Glimmer Tutu. Her Toe Shoes match her dress and she even had a matching sparkly flower in her hair.
Both Henry's and Hilda's outfits were made using Paper Piecing. It's so simple! Just stamp the image a second time on whatever you want them to wear and then cut out the pieces and adhere them to the main image.
I think Hilda looks receptive to accepting Henry's request to dance, don't you? She sees that he has brought her a flower that matches her dress, so I think she will say "yes".
I predict they will be dancing the night away under the clouds of the Starry Sky. I hope they don't trip over the flowers at their feet!
A few leftover flowers from the flower patch on the front were used to decorate the inside of the card.
