WONDERFUL WORLD OF FLOWERS

Today I am again using the Sale-a-Bration Bundle, Wonderful World.  I've been having a lot of fun playing with this stamp set and beautiful paper.  It doesn't take much effort to make a pretty card.  Just choose a layout that shows off the Designer Series Paper and stamp a pretty flower.

I used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper (DSP) to determine my card colors.  Among others, the pink floral paper includes Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry, and Pear Pizzaz, so those are the colors I used on today's card.  The frame behind the Flirty Flamingo flower was made with a die from Painted Labels Dies.  The Basic White circle was die cut with the 2-1/8" die from Stylish Shapes Dies and then embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder as was the Rich Razzleberry panel on the card front.

To make the flower I inked it with Flirty Flamingo ink and then wiped the ink off the stem and leaves using a blender pen.  Next, I inked the stem with a Pear Pizzaz ink pad getting as close to the flower as I could.  I finished coloring the stem with a Pear Pizzaz Stampin' Write Marker.

Alternatively, you could color the complete flower and stem with a Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzaz Marker, but I have found that I get a more detailed image when I use the ink pad on disINKtive stamps.

Since I did not have any Rich Razzleberry Ribbon I colored my Crinkled White Seam Binding Ribbon with a Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend.  You could also color it with a Sponge Dauber and ink pad or a Stampin Write Marker.  Any easy-to-color white ribbon is always a smart accessory to have in your tool kit.

For the inside of the card, I added a strip of the pretty designer series paper matted to Rich Razzleberry.  Then the completed Basic White Panel was matted to a Mossy Meadow like I used for the DSP panels on the front of the card.  Since I chose to leave the front of the card sentiment free, I can always add any sentiment I might want on the inside whenever I use the card.

IT'S A WONDERFUL WORLD

It's Monday and time for a new featured bundle of the week.  This week I am sharing some sneak peeks of one of the new Sale-A-Bration Bundles.

Sale-A-Bration starts on Friday, July 1, so let's have some fun with the Wonderful World Bundle this week.  This Bundle includes a stamp set with a Designer Series Paper Collection, and you can select it for FREE with a $100 merchandise order.  If you love flowers, you are going to love this Wonderful World Sale-a-Bration choice.

For the card layout, I CASEd a card on page 76 of the current 22-23 Annual Catalog.  I obviously used a different stamp set and designer series paper (DSP), but the basic layout is the same.

I cut my Orchid Oasis cardstock and Wonderful World DSP the same size as the front of the card base (5-1/2" x 4-1/4") and then simply cut each piece in half on the diagonal.   The Orchid Oasis is embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder.

The most difficult thing in making this card was deciding which one of the pretty flower stamps to use, but I decided to use the largest one. This required that I make my front panel a little larger than the panel on the card I CASEd, but I think it is still in keeping with the CASEd card layout.  What do you think?  Here is an image of the card from p. 76 of the Annual Catalog.

I stamped the sentiment from Inspired Thoughts on a Pear Pizzaz scrap and die cut it with the Stylish Shapes Dies -- a die set that has quickly become a favorite.

I kept the inside simple by just decorating it with a strip of the pretty Designer Series Paper.  This leaves me plenty of space to write a thank you note later.

DESIGN A LOVELY & LASTING DAYDREAM

Today I am sharing a semi-monochromatic card with you.  Other than a bit of Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves and sentiment the rest of the card is Petal Pink and white.

I used the Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper to create my layout.  This beautiful paper is a Hostess Reward that can be selected with a qualifying order.  As you can see there are several different Petal Pink Designs, so I decided to mix and match on today's card.

I die cut the diamond pattern and the edges of the floral pattern with the largest Deckled Rectangles Dies which are new this year in our 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog.  These dies make it look like the edges have been torn, except they do a much better job of "tearing" than I do.

The large flower from the Lovely and Lasting Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White with Pear Pizzaz ink and then die cut using a Layering Circle Die.  The Petal Pink Flowers were stamped, fussy cut, and then attached with dimensionals to the Granny Apple Green image.  I used the back of the die cut circle as a guide to trim the flowers where they extended past the edge of the circle.

The sentiment was stamped with Pear Pizzaz and the border and flourishes were stamped with Petal Pink before the image was punched with the Lasting Label Punch.  Hint: When possible, always stamp first and then punch or die cut.

For a little bling, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a small bow of Silver Cord Trim were added to complete the card front.

The inside of the card was trimmed with another strip of the Petal Pink floral pattern from Design a Daydream DSP and bordered with Petal Pink Cardstock.  The inside sentiment, stamped with Pear Pizzaz, is from Charming Sentiments Stamp Set.
