UNBOUNDED FAITH

This week I will using a brand new Suite of products from the new 2024-2025 called Unbounded Beauty.

This suite includes two stamp set bundles, two packages of beautiful Designer Series Paper and some embellishments, so you are only going to see a tiny amount of what is included in the suite, but I hope you enjoy the cards.

There are so many great products in this suite that I had a difficult time deciding where to start.

Since I have a sketch challenge coming up in a group I belong to, I decided that was where I would start.  I used the Unbounded Love Bundle which is a Sentiment Set that includes 25 sentiments and 16 dies that fit well with those sentiment.

This sentiment set includes the sentiments "Faith", "Hope" & "Love", so that is what this week's cards were built around.   1 Corinthians 13:13 says: Three things will last forever -- faith, hope, and love -- and the greatest of these is love.  So today, we start with Faith.

The sentiment was made with one of the Unbounded Love dies.  This die cut the Granny Apple Green Frame, and I cut an additional one from Basic White, and used the inside "scrap" to stamp the sentiment.  The leaves and sprigs were also made with Unbounded Love dies.

You may be wondering what the color is on today's card.  It is one of the new 24-26 In-Colors, Peach Pie.  I'm still deciding if I like this color or not, but I have faith that it will grow on me.

You can also see a sneak peak of another new In-Color, Petunia Pop. Do you see the Petunia Pop die cut sprigs?   There is no "wondering" if I like Petunia Pop or not.  It is one of my two new favorites, and it just may be #1.  You will definitely be seeing more of it this week.

The Unbounded Beauty DSP is also new and it is great because there are designs in each of the new In-Colors.

If you are noticing the swirls in the background, this is the new So Swirly Embossing Folder.  I love it.  Swirls or any graphical shapes are what I'm always drawn to.  This embossing folder reminds me a bit of the new countertops I'm waiting for.

This is the sentiment from Unbounded Love that coordinates with "Faith".  It says:  "Is being sure of what we cannot see".    That's kind of how I feel about my new countertops.  I can't see them yet, but I have faith that I am going to love them!  LOL

I used the frame that was left over from the sentiment die cut on the card front and adhered it directly around the stamped sentiment.  I also added my go-to solution of a matted DSP strip to add some additional color to the Basic White assembly.

LAYERS OF SWEETNESS

Are you on cuteness overload yet?  If not, today's card just might do it.

This is another FUN FOLD called the 3 Layer Fun Fold.  The retiring Sweet & Precious stamp set has 3 of the cutest images, so since this card had 3 layers, I thought I would put one image on each layer.

It is difficult to choose which image is the cutest so with this fun fold I can use all three and I don't have to choose!

Since each image looks like a Momma and her baby, I thought I would turn this fun fold into a baby card.

Each image was stamped on Basic White with Black Memento ink  I used Watercolor Pencils to add a little color to each image.  After laying down the color, I used a Blender Pen to smooth it out and add a little shading.

The image on the top layer is the Sloths.  This sentiment is from Sweet & Precious.

The giraffes are on the 2nd layer and the Penguins are on the 3rd layer.  The sentiments on these two layers are from an old retired (Wildly Adorable) baby stamp set that I have.

On the giraffe layer the right edge was covered with an Old Olive piece of cardstock embossed with the Fern 3D embossing folder.  The edge of the Old Olive was torn and then layered on to a piece of Basic White -- which also had a torn edge.  This was done so that when the card was completely closed the Penguins were not partially visible.

For all the cutting and scoring dimensions and step-by-step assembly instructions for this fun-fold, please use this link to download a FREE PDF TUTORIAL.

When the fun fold is fully open this is what you see.

Aren't these images truly Sweet & Precious?  Do you have a favorite?  I can't decide which is my favorite, but I do know that I am now officially on CUTENESS OVERLOAD!

This is another fun fold that does not provide much space to write a personal note.  So, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the back of the Penguin panel.

The Sweet & Precious stamp set includes this little bunch of leaves. I stamped it in two diagonal corners and colored them with my Water Pencil like I had done with the other images.  There is still plenty of room to sign my name and write a short note.

I'd love to know what you think of today's card.

A list of products used is shown below.

Again, the Sweet & Precious Stamp Set is on the Last Chance List, so if you want it, don't wait too long or it may be sold out.

LADYBUG TWISTS

Use the Twisted Ribbon Technique and the Hello Ladybug stamp set to create this cute card.

These cute little ladybugs are marching up and down the twisted ribbon on this card.  The idea was "inspired" by what I often see this time of year on my south facing windows and screens.  As soon as the sun comes out and warms the windows up a bit, the Japanese Beetles come out of hiding and like to sun themselves on my windows.  I try not to think about where they have been hiding all winter because they sure find their way to my windows quickly.  I know Japanese Beetles aren't truly ladybugs, but except for the wings, they look a lot alike.

The designer series paper used on today's card is the Delightfully Eclectic Collection, and it is on the Last Chance List as is the Hello Ladybug stamp set and coordinating punch.  Today's ladybugs had to be fussy cut as this is a different lady than the one that can be punched.  But they were very easy to fussy cut.

If you are not familiar with the Twisted Ribbon Technique please watch this video that I shared almost a year ago.

This technique is a fun and unique way to use up some of those scrap strips of designer series paper (DSP).

The colors on the card were taken from the DSP.  The card base is Night of Navy.  The Twisted Ribbon assembly is Bubble Bath, Night of Navy and Basic White.  The embossed layer on the card front is Fresh Freesia.  The Ladybugs were stamped with Black Memento and Calypso Coral, also a color in the DSP.

The large leaf was inked with Garden Green, a color also in the DSP, and then stamped off twice before stamping it on Basic White.  By stamping off twice, the color was light enough to use the leaf as my sentiment.  Flowers are Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia and Calypso Coral.

Color coordination is one of the things I struggle with so using the DSP as the color inspiration is the easiest way for me to coordinate colors.

The inside of the card was matted on Fresh Freesia and a strip of the same DSP was used to provide a pop of color.

You can use this link to download a tutorial with all the details.  The tutorial also includes a link to the Technique Video on my YouTube Channel.

I APOLOGIZE!

I want to apologize to those of you that have left so many wonderful comments on my website over the last many, many months.  I finally saw them!

Today, I stumbled across ALL of them in a "backside" area on my website that I, obviously, have never paid any attention to.  All the beautiful comments were there waiting for me to approve them so they would be "posted".  Some date back to 2022, so it is very embarassing that I have not responded to any of them.

I am definitely a work-in-progress, and still learning everyday.  I promise, I wasn't ignoring you.  I just thought no one was commenting.  WOW was I wrong!

Thank you to everyone for all the kind and inspirational things you have said about my projects!  It kind of made my day to read so many wonderful things that were said, but on the flip side, I feel bad that I didn't respond.

I promise to do better going forward!  I've learned something today, so today is a good day!
