Last week on Learning with Friends I shared how to make a Circle "Fun Fold". I used the term "fun fold" loosely as there really isn't any special "folds", but I wanted to share it because I thought it was a unique design for a card.
Since this is Hodgepodge week where I use a little of this and a little of that, I thought I would share another of those Circle cards with you today.
Isn't this a unique card design? I think it looks a bit like a little purse with its circle "handle" on the top.
If you missed the Learning with Friends Video where I showed how to make a similar card, you can watch the replay here.
Today's card was made with the Lifetime of Love Bundle. Of the three cards I shared in the video, this is the most elegant of the three. It is a wedding card and also gives you a sneak peek of one of the Sale-A-Bration items that will be available starting January 7, 2025. I used the Starstruck Embossing Folder which will be available as a Sale-A-Bration choice with a $60 merchandise order. Even though the name of the embossing folder is Starstruck, to me they look like little daisies, so thought it paired very nicely with the daisies in the Lifetime of Love stamp set.
This is "almost" an all-white card which I love. There is something just so elegant about an all-white card. I did add a touch of soft color by coloring the flowers with Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. The flower centers are Crumb Cake, but covered with Iridescent Pearls.
I also added Iridescent Pearls the sentiment and the circle die cut to add a little shimmer and shine and a touch more elegance.
Because of the design of the card, there isn't a lot of room for a message on the inside of the card. So, rather than adding additional decoration as I normally would, I only stamped a sentiment from Lifetime of Love. This left enough room for a short handwritten note.
I have another card today made with the Love & Strength Stamp Set.
The background for this card was made with the Mosaic Embossing Technique using the Pretty Peacock version of the Season of Elegance Specialty Paper.
Since the paper had gold foiling, I used Gold Embossing Powder for the technique.
The Mosaic Embossing Technique is a technique that I learned recently. It is so much fun and very easy to do, but the result is always impressive.
I demonstrated this technique a couple of weeks ago on Learning with Friends. If you missed the video premier you can still always watch the replay.
The flower from Love & Strength was Heat Embossed with Gold Embossing powder and then colored with Lost Lagoon and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.
The tag was die cut with a die from Something Fancy Dies. The sentiment from Love & Strength was also heat embossed in gold and then die cut with a Stylish Shapes Die. A faux bow made with gold cord and three Neutrals Gold Sequins finish the card front.
The inside of the card uses another of the wonderful and encouraging sentiments from Love & Strength. A strip of Season of Elegance Specialty Paper and Brushed Gold Specialty Paper provide a little "bling" to the inside.
Merry Christmas Stamping Friends! I hope you are having a beautiful Christmas celebrating Jesus Birth with friends and family.
I took a break from this week's featured stamp set, Love & Strength, to share a Christmas Card on this special day.
I'm taking it a little easy myself this week by using some cards that I made previously for other events. Today's card was made for a Learning with Friends video I did a while back. I decided to save it for Christmas day and use it as my Christmas Greeting for you on this Blessed Day.
This card was made with the Faux Linen Technique. It makes the perfect background, soft and subtle, for our Shepherd and Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
If you missed the Faux Linen Technique on Learning with Friends, you can always watch the replay.
The Shepherd's Care stamp set was the first I added to my wish list when the 2024 September - December Mini catalog was launched. It also appears to be carrying over as it is not on the Last Chance list. Yay! I love when that happens with one of my favorites.
It is difficult to see in the photos but the colors on this card are Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy.
On the inside of the card I stamped the large star and the City of Bethlehem with Night of Navy and the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink.
