AUTUMN CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL

I have used the beautiful All About Autumn Suite of products again today.

I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) one of the cards in the new Fall Mini Catalog.  I liked how they had unraveled the Natural Ribbon to make the frayed accent piece behind the sentiment, and I wanted to try it.  I have unraveled ribbon previously and sometimes it is really easy to do and sometimes the ribbon really doesn't want to unravel, and it is a battle thread by thread.  Well, I am happy to say that this ribbon was extremely easy to unravel!

I unraveled about 5 inches of ribbon and then tied it in the center with a piece of Linen Thread, but any type of string would work fine.

The card front is another of the beautiful designs from the All About Autumn 6" x 6" designer series paper.  This is some of the prettiest paper I've seen and when you have paper this beautiful, you really don't need to do much else to make a card.

I die cut leaves from one of the Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze designs that have copper graphics.  I also stamped leaves in Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie which were then also die cut.  A couple of stems that coordinate with these same double leaves were also die cut from Oxidized Copper Specialty paper to add a bit more sparkle and shine.

All the die-cut elements and the frayed ribbon were then adhered to the back of the Deckled Circle sentiment and the completed assembly was added to the card front with dimensionals.  Easy Peasy!

The inside of the card was decorated with a narrow strip of the same designer series paper as was used on the front.  A double mat of Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze completes the inside.

The sneak peek products used for this card are as follows:

AUTUMN THANKS

This week I am featuring a beautiful new suite of Products from the 2023 Fall Mini Catalog.  It is called All About Autumn.  My favorite products in the Suite are the two Specialty Designer Series Paper Collections, but the stamp set also intrigued me.  It is leaves that has stems stamped separately from the main part of the leaf.

I liked this idea because often the stems and veins in leaves are a little different color from the main part of the leaf.  Here in Michigan this is especially true in the fall when our leaves start turning color.

The background for today's card was created using the Partial Embossing Technique and a mask from Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks--another sneak peek product from the Fall Mini.

To make the background I first placed masking paper over the vertical strip where I planned to stamp my sentiment.  Then I placed the Decorative Mask over the Basic White cardstock and used my Blending Brushes to color the leaves.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Old Olive inks, my go-to autumn colors, for blending.

After blending the leaves, I removed the Masking Paper and stamped my sentiment from Vertical Blooms with Cajun Craze ink.  The next step was to use the Partial Embossing Technique to provide texture on each side of the sentiment.  I embossed the right side of the sentiment with the Fern 3D embossing folder and the left side with the Timber 3D embossing folder.

If you are not familiar with the Partial Embossing Technique, you can watch the Connect to Create video that was shared a few months ago by my friend and Connect to Create Collaborator, Kathi Ondus, on our YouTube Channel.

To finish my card, I stamped leaves on Basic White cardstock and die cut them with the coordinating dies from the Autumn Leaves Bundle.  This bundle will be available September 6, 2023, when the Fall Mini Catalog goes live.

The leaves were stamped in Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie and then I die cut the stems from Old Olive.  A small bow of Linen Thread and a few Speckled Dots from the All About Autumn Suite completed the card front.

For the inside of the card, I used a leftover leaf that I had stamped for the card front which I ended up not using.

The All About Autumn Suite (Item #162193) includes the stamp set and dies bundle (Item #162186), Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots (Item #162191), Copper & Natural Ribbon (Item #162192), Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (Item #162189), Oxidized Copper 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (Item #162190) and the All About Autumn Special Designer Series Paper (Item #162178).  This truly is a beautiful suite of products!

Additional sneak peek products used were the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks (Item #162331)

THE LORD'S BLESSINGS

Today's card uses the last of the scripture verse sentiments in the Courage and Faith stamp set.

This card uses the Impressions of Tarnished Foil Technique that I demonstrated a couple of weeks ago on my Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.  If you missed it, you can watch a replay here.

This technique makes beautiful cards where all you really need to do is add a sentiment and call it done!

This card was made with a Copper Clay card base and Basic Black to mat the Tarnished Foil.

The technique sheet started with Gold Foil and then Black Stazon ink and Copper and Silver Embossing Powder was added.  The embossing folder used was the Exposed Brick 3D.

The sentiment was heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock and then die cut with the largest die from Nested Essentials Dies.  Since the next larger elongated hexagon die created a larger border than I wanted I adhered my sentiment to a piece of Gold Foil and then just trimmed it with my Paper Trimmer to have a small gold border around the Black.

I kept the inside of the card very simple by only adding a strip of gold foil.  This allows me to add a stamped sentiment later, or just write a note to the recipient.   I do this with many of my cards because when I create them, I don't always know how they will be used.

If you would like a written tutorial for today's card you can download a copy at this link.

FRAME IT!

Do you know someone that is going through a difficult time?  I love this verse from Psalms that tells us to Be of Good Courage.  Sometimes we all need that, right?

The houndstooth background was made with a new set of decorative masks from the Fall Mini Catalog which will go live on September 6.  The set of masks are called Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks (Item 162331) and they include several different masks including a set of "layering masks" that you use together to create beautiful sunflowers.

I was looking for a subtle background for my sentiment and stems from the Courage & Faith stamp set, so designed to use this mask with my blending brush and Fresh Freesia Ink.

To make it pop I added a frame made from the darkest of the Silver Foil Specialty Paper which is available as an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE.  The frame was made with two of the dies from Deckled Rectangle dies, and the sentiment was die cut with another sneak peek product from the Fall Mini Catalog -- Deckled Circle Dies (Item 162286).  I was really excited to get these dies.  The set includes 14 Layering Circles!

The stems were colored with Stampin' Blends (see product list below for colors) and then fussy cut as there are no coordinating dies with the Courage & Faith stamp set.  But if you do not like fussy cutting, just use any stems that you own.

Three Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls completed the card front.  For a complete list of the current products used on this card refer to the Product List below.

For the inside of the card, I used the mask again and this time outlined the area for the sentiment which is also from the Courage & Faith stamp set.
