WONDERFUL WORLD OF FLOWERS

Today I am again using the Sale-a-Bration Bundle, Wonderful World.  I've been having a lot of fun playing with this stamp set and beautiful paper.  It doesn't take much effort to make a pretty card.  Just choose a layout that shows off the Designer Series Paper and stamp a pretty flower.

I used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper (DSP) to determine my card colors.  Among others, the pink floral paper includes Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry, and Pear Pizzaz, so those are the colors I used on today's card.  The frame behind the Flirty Flamingo flower was made with a die from Painted Labels Dies.  The Basic White circle was die cut with the 2-1/8" die from Stylish Shapes Dies and then embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder as was the Rich Razzleberry panel on the card front.

To make the flower I inked it with Flirty Flamingo ink and then wiped the ink off the stem and leaves using a blender pen.  Next, I inked the stem with a Pear Pizzaz ink pad getting as close to the flower as I could.  I finished coloring the stem with a Pear Pizzaz Stampin' Write Marker.

Alternatively, you could color the complete flower and stem with a Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzaz Marker, but I have found that I get a more detailed image when I use the ink pad on disINKtive stamps.

Since I did not have any Rich Razzleberry Ribbon I colored my Crinkled White Seam Binding Ribbon with a Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend.  You could also color it with a Sponge Dauber and ink pad or a Stampin Write Marker.  Any easy-to-color white ribbon is always a smart accessory to have in your tool kit.

For the inside of the card, I added a strip of the pretty designer series paper matted to Rich Razzleberry.  Then the completed Basic White Panel was matted to a Mossy Meadow like I used for the DSP panels on the front of the card.  Since I chose to leave the front of the card sentiment free, I can always add any sentiment I might want on the inside whenever I use the card.
