AN AMAZING DAY

Today's card is a quick and simple card made with the Under the Moon Stamp Set.

Three strips of Balmy Blue Bokeh DSP were adhered to the front card layer and then embossed with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.

To create the moonlight sailing scene I first stamped the Spring Corners Sentiment and then stamped the moon with Crushed Curry ink in the center between the sentiment and the left edge of the Basic White cardstock.

Can you seen the shading of the colors on the moon and the water?  One of the things I love about the stamps in this Under the Moon stamp set is that they are designed so all that shading is "built in".  Just ink and stamp and the perfect shading occurs automatically!

It doesn't get much easier than that does it?

The little sailboat is also from this Under the Moon stamp set, and I found the birds in the Everyday Arches stamp set.  Every lake scene always needs a few birds flying around.

I decided to leave the inside of the card sentiment free -- for now.

Based on the Spring Corners sentiment on the front, "wishing you an amazing day", I could use this card for many occasions, so I decided not to limit its use -- yet -- by adding a sentiment.  It will be easy to add any sentiment when I'm ready!

Do you ever do that with your cards?  Or do you always have a purpose in mind when you create it?

This card is so quick and simple that it doesn't really need a tutorial, but if you are like me, I always find it helpful when someone just tells me the cutting dimensions so I don't need to "figure them out".

Since I make a tutorial for every card that I make in case I ever want to recreate it for another purpose, I may as well just share that tutorial with you.   Use this link to download a copy.
