Today I'm sharing my last Piggy Birthday card for the week. This week has helped me replenish my supply of Birthday Cards!
Today's card is a simple fun fold card with two front flaps. The striped one folds to the right and the Piggy folds to the left.
I wanted my card to be bright and cheery, so I selected a couple of Designer Series Paper (DSP) patterns from Celebrate Everything DSP that met those criteria. This paper collection has something for every occasion.
I thought the piggy on the little scooter was super cute and I wanted him to have a bright red scooter, so I colored it with Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. Piggy is colored with 3 colors from the Natural Tones Blends. These neutral tones blends are awesome! I find myself using them often and for so much more than just skin tones.
I don't usually talk much about my envelopes, but my philosophy for the envelope is pretty much the same as for the inside of the card -- "No naked envelopes." If you are wondering why it looks like I have two different envelopes in my pictures, let me explain. Today, I couldn't decide if I wanted to use my common "go to" -- adding a piece of DSP to the envelope flap, or color another cute little piggy on the front of the envelope. I decided to go with the DSP. So, I cut a piece and then I got distracted. When I came back later to finish my card, I had forgotten that I'd already cut the paper, so while I was stamping the piggy for the card front, I thought I'd save some time and stamp her on the envelope also. After I finished coloring them both, I saw the DSP laying off to the side. Since it was cut and ready to go, this envelope got a double dose of decoration.
Love that card, and that DSP! I gotta remember to order some of that next time I qualify for hostess benefits! :)
