The last couple of weeks, I have used stamp sets and bundles that we are saying goodbye to, but this week we are going to welcome back some old favorites!
This week I will be using stamp sets and bundles that will be returning in the 2023 - 2024 Annual Catalog, and I am happy to say that there are also more favorites that are returning than I can possibly use in one week of posts.
Today I am using the Artistically Inked Bundle for Simply Monday.
This stamp set has been a long-time favorite. The Disinktive stamps make such beautiful images so easily. The stamp does all the work as the "shading" is already "built in".
Do you see the color variation? All I did was ink the stamp and stamp on Basic White cardstock!
For this Simply Monday card, I used the Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper for my background. It provides so much shimmer and sparkle with no effort at all!
The coordinating dies from Artistic Dies make simple work of die cutting all the stamped flowers and leaves and there are also a couple of detailed dies in the set. I used one of them to die cut the leafy branch from Shaded Spruce cardstock.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the large flower with Daffodil Delight and then masked it. After masking I stamped the two sets of leaves.
The trick to creating realistic masked images is to make sure the mask is cut slightly smaller than the image you are masking. If you use the die to create your mask, just get out your paper snips and trim it a bit in the areas where you are going to stamp the leaves so that it is just a tiny bit inside the edge of the flower. That will make sure there is no white gap between the flower and the leaves.
