Isn't this an eye-catching layout? I wish I could claim creation, but like many of my ideas, I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.
What did we do before Pinterest? Oh, I remember, I perused Splitcoaststampers!
This card is made with the pretty new blue, Azure Afternoon. This is a beautiful & cheery new member of Stampin' Up!'s Brights Collection. I looked up Azure because I wasn't sure what it meant. The dictionary defined it as "bright blue in color like a cloudless sky". WOW! Isn't that an accurate name for this color? Don't you just love days when the sky is this shade of blue! The next time I'm out on my lake under a gorgeous, cloudless sky of blue, I'm going to think, "What a beautiful Azure Afternoon!"
The large white panel was die cut with the Deckles Rectangles Dies and the small white squares were die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The black mats were then cut 3/16" larger to give a small border.
Flower colors are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.
An Adhesive Sheet was first adhered to one side of Azure Afternoon cardstock and then the words were die-cut. The adhesive sheets make it so quick and easy to adhere the words to their coordinating background "bubbles". Usually, I remember the Adhesive Sheets after I'm already making a mess with my liquid glue. But this time I remembered before I had my fingers covered with glue.
