Fairless Stampin' Flair: Autumn Mauves

The last card this week with the All About Autumn Product Suite uses colors that are a bit unusual for me to use when making fall cards. The Designer Series Paper from the All About Autumn collection set the color tone for my card.

When I first saw this particular paper design from the collection, I could almost hear the leaves rustling. They are not the bright and colorful leaves we often think of with reds, yellows, and rusts, but rather they are the color of leaves that just turn to grays and browns. They are those leaves that are crisp and break to pieces when you scrunch them in your hand or under your feet. But I have to say, this paper is absolutely gorgeous! And when paired with Pebbled Path and Moody Mauve, it gives a rich and warm feeling.

The layout for the card is one of my favorites and one that I turn to often when inspiration is failing me. There is a large rectangle (with the leaves), a medium size rectangle (with the Moody Mauve and Copper graphic paper, and where I have the leaf, normally the layout has a circle.

This layout works in landscape and portrait mode, and you can vary the positioning of each of three main shapes to create many different arrangements that will look totally different. For the cutting dimensions you can download a copy of the written tutorial. I used a leaf, but any size circle works very well with this layout.

My maple leaf was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink, and I die cut the veins and stems from Pebbled Path cardstock. The small maple leaf is die cut from the Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper.

For the inside of the card, I used the oak leaf and maple leaf dies from the Autumn Leaves dies to cut three leaves from the beautiful designer series paper.
