Fairless Stampin' Flair: CHEERS TO THE NEW YEAR

Happy New Year Stamping Friends!

For the first week of the year I am featuring the Softly Sophisticated Sale-A-Bration Bundle. This bundle will be available with a $100 order on January 4, when our annual Sale-A-Bration Promotion begins.

The Softly Sophisticated Bundle includes a Stamp Set and an Embossing Folder. Today I used one of the two-step flowers that is included in the stamp set.

When I think of New Years celebrations, I always envision lots of sparkle, shimmer and shine. So I did my best to make a card that has all of this.

The background on the card was made with the Holographic Specialty Paper from the Annual Catalog. The paper is silver, but depending on how you move it around it changes colors. When you emboss the Holographic Paper it also brings out more of the Hologram colors. I used the Painted Texture embossing folder because it creates larger surfaces at different angles which really adds to the color explosion.

The largest Countryside Corners die cut mat was made from Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Paper which adds more sparkle to the card. And the Night of Navy and Gold Glittered Ribbon continues the sparkle.

This is a very simple card to make, but the cardstock and embellishments provide a sparkly, shiny punch, don't you think?

The sparkle and shine is carried to the inside of the card with a strip of the Holographic Specialty Paper matted on Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Paper. The strip on the inside is not embossed, but even in its natural state you can see all the different hologram colors.
