THOUGHTFUL DESIGNS MOSAIC

It's a new week and this week I have decided to feature one of the stamp sets on the Last Chance List.  The stamp set is called "Enjoying Little Things".  It is a really cute stamp set with a large variety of small images ranging from teapots, to cupcakes, to dogs and flowers.  To see all the images and sentiments click on the image in the Product List at the end of this post.

The first card this week uses a couple of the sentiments.  It was made with the fun Embossed Mosaic Technique and the Thoughtful Designs Specialty Paper.  This is beautiful, foiled paper with an ombre design.  This card was made from a few scraps from one of the sheets where the ombre varies from Misty Moonlight to Petunia Pop.

If you are not familiar with the Embossed Mosaic Technique you can watch this video that I shared last week on Learning with Friends.

Once I completed the technique sheet by embossing with Silver Embossing Powder, I adhered it to a Tungsten Textured Metallic Sheet from the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.

My hint when using more pricey paper like foil is to die cut a portion out of the center of the mat layer before adhering the top layer to the foil mat.  That way you can use that die cut piece for another project and maximize the use of your foil.

The circular "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" greeting was stamped on Basic White with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  It was die cut with two Deckled Circle Dies.  I wanted to have as much of the pretty background showing as possible, so that is why I cut out the center of the sentiment.  A snippet of Misty Moonlight Inner Braided Ribbon was tied around my "donut".

For the inside of the card I decided to add a strip of the Thoughtful Designs DSP matted to Misty Moonlight.  Once I stamped the sentiment from Enjoying Little Things, I decided I'd give my birthday recipient some cupcakes for their birthday!  All stamping on the inside of the card was done with Misty Moonlight ink.

For more information on the products used, please refer to the list below.  The particular Misty Moonlight Ribbon that I used is retired but use whatever you have.  Silver Ribbon would look very elegant or use Petunia Pop to pull out that color on your card front.
