I think I've mentioned this previously, but on the University of Michigan campus there is an area that is referred to as the Diag. It's an area on the downtown campus that is crisscrossed by sidewalks, and we just referred to it as the Diag.
Every time I use my favorite "diagonal" card sketch, I think of the Michigan Diag.
This has been a long-time favorite card sketch. There is something about the simple diagonal running across the card that appeals to me. You can use any shape accent in the center of the diagonal as your focal point.
This week I am featuring the Spring Corners bundle and I thought a large balloon bouquet would make the perfect focal point on my diagonal Beautiful Bokeh DSP. I stamped the set of 3 balloons 4 times, colored them with Stampin' Blends and then die cut with the coordinating Spring Corners die.
The Beautiful Bokeh DSP comes in a large variety of bright colors, but I think this one which is multi-colored is my favorite. Before adhering it to the Azure Afternoon Diagonal strip, I embossed it with the So Swirly embossing folder. The movement of the So Swirly embossing folder seemed fitting for a bunch of balloons.

On the inside of the card I stamped one more balloon bouquet and used one of the corner dies to add a little more pizzaz.
I think this will make a great birthday card that would be appropriate for all age groups and men or women. What do you think? It's always good to have a few versatile cards like this on hand, right?
