PARROT LOVE BIRDS

This week I'm sharing cards made with the Feathered Fun Stamp Set.  It is one of the very first stamp sets I purchased when the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog was introduced.  If you love to color, like I do, then this is a stamp set you should have.  The images are perfect to color with all different types of coloring mediums.

Today's card is a bright and cheerful card perfect for sending love!  The two love birds were colored with Stampin' Blends, the alcohol markers from Stampin' Up.  As we deal with the recent frigid cold here in Michigan, I needed some "sunny" colors to make me think of warmer days.

Colors used are Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Summer Splash and a tiny bit of Timid Tiger.  Even the names of these colors remind me of summer days ahead!

The Summer Splash Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Unbounded Beauty DSP Collection.

I used a simple layout that you often see on cards, but one that I rarely use.  (I don't know why.) Two similar sized pieces of cardstock are just tipped at an angle to each other.

I embossed the Summer splash and the Basic White in behind the focal point with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.

If you are unsure about coloring with Stampin' Blends visit my YouTube Channel or Facebook Page on Wednesday as I share my tips and tricks of coloring with various types of coloring mediums.  I will color three more of the birds from Feather Fun with three different types of coloring mediums.

Since the Feather Fun stamp set does not include sentiments, I used Banner Saying for the sentiment on the card front.  I searched my stash to find a meaningful sentiment for the inside of the card that I thought coordinated well with "You are loved".

The sentiment I used is from So Sincere.  Unfortunately, this is retired stamp set. It is one of my favorite sentiment sets that I will likely keep forever!  Obviously, you can use whatever favorite stamp you have.
