NEW (TO ME) FUN FOLD WITH FLOWERING MEADOWS

This week is all about trying new Fun Fold Cards -- well, they might not be new to you, but they are definitely new to me.

For those that register early for the Creativate Retreats we receive a bonus Fun Fold tutorial from each of the retreat leaders.

This Fun Fold was from Brandy Cox, and I thought it was very unique and interesting.  She didn't give it a name, so I have dubbed it the Side-Diamond Fun Fold because the shape of the left side of the card is in a diamond.

I'm always amazed how people come up with Fun Folds, and I love how the diamond shape at the left makes it a great card to display because it stands very well on its own.

When the card is standing, the scalloped circle focal point in the center pops out from the two floral panels to create another WOW feature.

The focal point doesn't need to be a circle.  It could be any shape you want, but I decided to use dies from Scalloped Blooms and Stylish Shapes to create my focal point.  The flowers are from the Flowering Meadow Bundle, and when I went searching for which designer series paper (DSP) to use, I found this floral design and striped design in the Everyday Essentials DSP Collection.

The other side of the diamond is where we write our message.

Isn't that fun?  I added another flower from Flowering Meadow, so my card is both pretty coming and going!

Use this link to download a tutorial with all the details of today's card.  It is actually a much quicker and easier card to make than you might think.  I love these kind of cards.  The recipient will think you slaved over it, but you don't have to tell them how easy it really was!

I hope you give it a try.

A list of the products I used are shown below, but this is definitely a card that you can make with supplies you already have.
