Harvest Meadow - Sneak Peak #3

Happy Friday and welcome to my 3rd blog post.  I made it through my first week of blogging!  I promise not to continue telling you the number of each post, but I do have to admit that making it through the first week feels pretty good!  I feel like I've accomplished something that has been a long time in the planning phase.

Today I'm going to celebrate by sharing my final sneak peak of the Harvest Meadow Suite.  And I saved my favorite card for last.

What do you think about this background "paper"?  The background for the flowers was made using the Stampin' Blends with alcohol on Vellum technique.  I taught this technique in my July Technique Class a couple of weeks ago, and it was a big hit!  I will admit that it is a bit of a challenge for my engineering brain as there is very little control over the final outcome.  You just have to let go and go where the alcohol flows!

The Stampin' Blends colors I used were Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink, Just Jade, Soft Succulent, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue.  Coastal Cabana isn't available any longer in a Stampin' Blend, but I must have it leftover from a previous life.  I think Pool Party could be substituted just fine.  After the ink dried, I added a few squiggly lines of glue with a fine tip glue pen and then applied Gilded Leafing.  Again, Mom's favorite saying, "It just does something to it", comes to mind.

The Black Eyed Susan flowers were also colored with Stampin' Blends--Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Just Jade.  Once coloring was finished, a quick run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating die, and pretty much all that was left for me to do was assembly.

The sentiment is one of the sentiments in the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set.  It was stamped with Early Espresso on Basic White and die cut with another die from the Harvest Dies.

The inside of the card and the envelop were also decorated with a bouquet of Black Eyed Susans.

This completes my sneak peaks using the Harvest Meadow Suite, but I promise you, this just touches the surface of what you can do with the products in this suite.  Check out the complete product list below for the products used on today's card (with the exception of the products in the Harvest Meadow Suite).  The Harvest Meadow Suite will be available beginning August 3, 2021.
