Happy Friday Stampers!
I have another project for you using the Eden's Garden Suite of Products. No new Fancy Folds for you today, but just a beautiful card. In fact, it might be my favorite one of the week! Did I save the best for last? Which was your favorite card of the week?
My hands-down favorite part of this card is the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. This was a new paper in the Annual Catalog, and I had purchased it quite a white ago, and then totally forgot all about it! That was a mistake! I came across it in my stash of 6" x 6" paper this week and I can ensure you that you will be seeing this again. It comes in Gold and in Rose Gold and it is stunning! I can't wait to try the Rose Gold! This metallic paper looks like it has a heavy texture to it, but it is much smoother to the touch than it looks.
To make today's card I covered the Thick Basic White base with another of the pretty specialty papers from Ever Eden Designer Series Paper (DSP). There is also a strip of the Ever Eden Cotton Paper tucked behind lower die cut. Can you see it?
The color I used was the Evening Evergreen cotton, but this interesting paper also comes in Soft Succulent. The cotton paper is a very lightweight paper -- almost like tissue paper, so I will definitely be spending more time playing with it to figure out where its personality shines best!
I stamped the largest floral image from the Eden's Garden Stamp Set in Soft Succulent on another of the designs from Ever Eden DSP but before putting the ink to paper, I used a blending brush to lighten the edges of the stamp a bit.
Two of the border dies were cut from Basic White and used to highlight the "Hello There" Sentiment. The gold glimmer bow also draws attention to the sentiment.
One of the great advantages of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that we can order some products before they are available to customers. When I ordered my Eden's Garden products the gems were not yet available, so I used my 2021 - 2023 In-Color Jewels to add a bit more sparkle. The Evening Evergreen Jewels coordinate beautifully and give that bit of accent color and sparkle.
At the time of this writing, the Garden Gems are now available. Like the Ever Eden Specialty Papers, the Gems are only available while supplies last, however availability of the Eden's Garden stamp set, and Eden dies will continue in the January - June Mini.
Of course, you know I didn't forget to decorate the inside of the card. I cut the border from the same designer series paper as was used to cover the card front. I added a sentiment from the Eden's Garden stamp set heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Isn't this a nice sentiment? Do you ever wonder who thinks of the ideas for sentiments? Those people have a fantastic gift and a way with words. I confess, I have lots and lots of sentiment stamps sets, but I don't have a sentiment that is anything like this one!
If you would like to know all the dimensions and how-to-steps to make this card, I have a FREE TUTORIAL HERE! You can also check out the product list below to see what items I used to make this card. If you missed that Gold and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper in the Annual Catalog you really should check it out. Just don't put it away and forget you have it like I did! It's too pretty to be hidden in a box.
