EDEN'S GARDEN SNEAK PEAK

Starting tomorrow the Eden's Garden Suite of products will be available for purchase so today I'm sharing a sneak peek with you of a project I created using the Specialty Designer Series Paper and stamp set.  This suite does include some beautiful dies as well, but they are not used on today's card.  You'll need to come back another day this week to see those.

Today's card is a Dutch Door fold.  This is a fancy fold that I learned at a retreat I participated in recently, and I thought it would be a great way to showcase the beautiful designer series paper from Eden's Garden.  Since this pretty specialty paper has gold in it, I decided to splurge and mat each piece of designer series paper with gold foil.

,

The large floral image on the front panel is a Distinktive style of stamp.  I had never tried heat embossing with a Distinktive stamp before so wasn't sure how it would tun out, but I was pleasantly surprised.  The subtle shading and details that we get with Distinktive stamps show up beautifully with the gold heat embossing.

To keep the gold theme going, I added three Brushed Metallic adhesive dots to the front of the card.  These new Brushed Metallic embellishments have quickly become one of my favorite items in the Fall Mini catalog.  Have you checked them out?

The sentiments in Eden's Garden are also unique, and I particularly like this one for a "just because" card.

To decorate the inside of the card I stamped some of the foliage from the Eden's Garden stamp set and added another strip of the beautiful designer series paper.  It's all set off by another gold mat.

I have a hint for you on a way to get the most from your gold foil paper.  We all know that foil cardstock is more expensive than paper, so when you want to use foil as a mat behind a fairly large piece of card stock like the inside of this card take one of your rectangle dies and die cut the center section of the foil that is covered up by the Very Vanilla mat.  You can then use that die cut piece on another project and stretch your foil a little further!  For this card I used the center of the inside mat to create the lower Dutch Door mats for the front of the card.

I hope you'll come back the rest of this week to see what other ideas I'll share using the Eden's Garden Suite of Products.  Remember, tomorrow it will become available for you to purchase it for yourself!

Since Eden's Garden is not available until tomorrow, I am not yet able to add it to the product list below, but here is an image of the products that will be available in this suite.
