It's Monday and time to play with a new bundle. All week I'll be using products from the Whimsy & Wonder Suite. What a fun set to play with! I used it for my November Stamp Camp-to-Go class this month, and it was very popular, so I hope you enjoy this week's cards. If you participated in the Camp-to-Go, you will get some bonus ideas this week!
The fold for today's card was shared by my upline, Jackie Bolhuis, at the Creativate retreat that I participated in last month. It is called a Book Binding Fancy Fold and is super simple, but it does add uniqueness to the card. I love it!
I could have used one of the beautiful papers from the Whimsy & Wonder Suite, but I decided to bind my "book" today with the pretty Evening Evergreen and Gold Foil Pattern from the Ever Eden Designer Series Paper. The Whimsical Tree is cut from the Ombré Pattern from that designer series paper package. Doesn't it make a pretty tree? Can you see that it is darker at the bottom and fades to a lighter color at the top of the tree? Add some gold tinsel and gold ornaments cut with other dies from the Christmas Trees Dies that are part of the Whimsy & Wonder Suite, and you have a simple, but beautiful tree.
What do you think of this color combination of Blackberry Bliss and Evening Evergreen? I was playing around with colors to put with the Eden's Garden Designer Paper and stumbled on this combination. With the gold accents I think it makes a very elegant color combination.
The Merry Christmas Sentiment is from the For Unto Us Stamp Set. This stamp set was first introduced in the 2021 Fall Mini and I was so happy that it carried over to this year's catalog. Check it out in the Product List below to see all the special Christmas sentiments of faith that are included in the set.
Once you open your book, you see the pretty inside. The trees on both pages were made with more dies from the Christmas Tree Dies, The two on the left are cut from the same Ever Eden designer series paper as was used for the book binding on the front, and the tree on the left was cut from Evening Evergreen and Gold Foil cardstock. The holly in the upper left is a stamp from Whimsical Trees and it was head embossed with gold embossing powder and colored with Stampin' Blends Markers.
Both inside sentiments are also from the For Unto Us Stamp Set.
