Happy Monday my friends! Yes, I do consider each and every one of you my friends, and I am very thankful for you! During my journey as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator my greatest blessing has been the friends I have made along the way.
As we enter this week of Thanksgiving, I want to thank you for your friendship and your faithfulness in supporting me on this journey.
This week I am again featuring the Love of Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies.
I also featured this set back in early September, so if you would like to revisit those ideas, or maybe you missed them the first time, you can use the following links to see those posts.
Here in Michigan, Autumn is a beautiful time of year with the changing color of leaves, so this week I wanted to share colorful cards that pays homage to the beauty this time of year brings.
Today's card is a 2-Flap Fun Fold. You can see that one flap opens to the right and a second flap opens to the left. Believe me, it's a lot easier to make this card than it looks. If you would like a detailed tutorial, click this link to download your FREE PDF.
The color on this card was created using the Baby Wipe Technique. This is not a new technique, but it results in cards where no two will ever look alike. It's fun, colorful, and a little messy -- just like me!
The colorful leaf was created by using the inked baby wipe as the stamp pad. Both the background for the left-hand flap and the background for the right-hand flap were created by swiping that same baby wipe across Basic White cardstock. Look how different those two pieces of striped "designer paper" look? Isn't that fun? I did figure out a little too late that it would have been a smart idea to don a pair of latex gloves before I did the swiping, but it's just ink. Eventually it wears off!
I added another colorful leaf on the inside of the card along with this beautiful sentiment from the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set.
This card is already on its way to a special friend that I know I can always count on! After all, we stampers don't just "create" cards right? We also send them! I hope she likes it.
