Today I have a card that gives you another SNEAK PEEK of the Friendly Hello Sale-A-Bration item coming on January 4.
Check out all the pretty patterns in the Sneak Peek photo below.
The layout for today's card is one of my go-to layouts when I want to show off pretty designer paper.
These three shapes can be rearranged in a variety of layouts and depending on the image you want to use you can choose to use a different panel for your focal point. For the cute little blue bird image, the smaller rectangle laid horizontally was perfect.
He was stamped with Black Memento on Basic White cardstock and then colored with Stampin' Blends. This Friendly Hello stamp set also includes a very nice "speckles" stamp. Sometime speckle stamps have dots that are too big or too small, but these are just right! They add a nice finishing touch, don't you think? As Mom would have said, "those little black dots just do something to it!"
For my sentiment circle I used another of the patterns from the Friendly Hello DSP Collection. I don't very often stamp sentiments on designer paper -- not because I don't like how it looks, but because I don't remember that it looks so pretty. I need to do a better job of keeping this tool in my toolbox. What about you? Do you like to use designer series paper for sentiments?
To decorate the inside of the card, I used a narrow strip of the same, black-lined DSP as I used on the large panel on the front of the card.
The inside sentiment is from a sentiment stamp set that was available as a special Host set during the last Sale-A-Bration. Sadly, the set is no longer available, but the "BE who you were BORN to Be" sentiment is one of my favorites for birthday cards so I still like to use it.
If you would like a tutorial with all the cutting dimensions for this versatile layout, you can access the tutorial with this link.
A list of all current products is shown below.
The stamp set and designer series paper (Item # 159990) will be available as a Sale-A-Bration choice when Sale-A-Bration starts on January 4, 2022.
