GLORY TO THE NEWBORN KING!

Hark the Herald Angles Sing.  Glory to the newborn King!  This was one of Mom's favorite Christmas carols.  She had many favorites but said that she always loved this one when she was young -- "because it was peppy!"

Normally, I don't post on Sunday's, but because it is a very special day where we celebrate the Newborn King and all that He did to change the world, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to wish you and all those you love a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This week I will be sharing cards made with another sneak peek suite from the Spring Mini Catalog called Delicate Desert.  Now, this certainly isn't a Christmas themed stamp set, but I thought I would see if I could use it to make a Christmas Card.

What do you think?  Does this work for Christmas?  It is Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive (i.e. Red & Green), so if nothing else, at least the colors are traditional Christmas colors.

I'm not sure exactly what this desert flower is, but I'm going to call it a Christmas Rose.  They are beautiful DistINKtive stamps, so the DistINKtive shading makes beautiful quick & easy stamped flowers.

The Desert Details Bundle also includes some great border and frame dies as well as a couple of border stamps that you see on the lower part of this card.

Since I now have one Christmas Card that I can put into my 2023 Christmas Card stash, I can officially say that I have started my 2023 Christmas Cards!  Eleven months from now, I just hope that I can remember where I "stashed" it!

I kept the inside of the card clean and simple with only a Cherry Cobbler stamped sentiment and an Old Olive mat.

A tutorial is available for today's card by downloading a copy using this link.

The information on the Delicate Desert Suite and Bundle is as follows, and a complete list of currently available products that I used for today's card is listed at the end of this post.

BEAUTIFULLY HAPPY ACETATE BIRTHDAY

A few weeks ago, I shared a video on Connect to Create about how to create cards with Window Sheets.

One of those cards, made with the Grassy Grove Bundle, was shared on this blog on November 28, and today I'm showing you the second card that I shared during the video.

Today's card uses two sneak peek products that will be available on January 5, 2023.  The flower on the front of the card is from a Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Beautifully Happy, and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the edges of the Window Sheet are from the Dry Brushed Metallic DSP Collection which will be available in the new Mini Catalog.  This paper is absolutely gorgeous!

The flower was stamped with the two-step stamp in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Succulent.  It is adhered to the window sheet, so it looks like it is floating.  I did adhere it with dimensionals, but I think if I were to make it again, I would adhere it directly to the window sheet using the technique I demonstrated in the video.

Adhering it directly will still provide the appearance of the flower floating, but when you open the card, you will not see dimensionals on the back of the flower.

For the inside of the card, I added another small flower and the cute little Bee.  I placed them carefully so they would look like they were part of the bouquet when you saw them through the Window Sheet.

Placement of the sentiment was also carefully positioned so that it was completely hidden by the flower on the Window Sheet.

For consistency, I also added a strip of the pretty Designer Series Paper to the Basic White cardstock panel used for the inside of the card.

For more details on how to make this card, a written tutorial is available to download at this link.

The two sneak peek products used on this card which become available January 5, 2023, are shown below.
  • Beautifully Happy Stamp Set -- Available as a FREE Sale-a-Bration choice with a $100 merchandise order.
  • Dry Brushed Metallic Designer Series Paper -- Available for purchase in the January - April 2023 Mini Catalog (Page 43).
The current products that were used are listed in the Product List below.

CAJUN CRAZE BEAUTY

Happy Monday Stampers!

This week I am going to share some sneak peaks with you of a Sale-A-Bration stamp set that you can choose for FREE with a $100 order beginning January 5, 2023.

The stamp set is called Beautifully Happy, and if you love flowers, you are going to want this stamp set.

This large floral stamp is so easy to use and quick and easy cards.   It is a two-step stamp, so you first stamp the outline image and then use another stamp to fill in the colors of various portions of the image.  I stamped the flowers with Petal Pink and the leaves with Old Olive ink.  Sometimes two-step stamps can be challenging to align, but this one is super simple.

The background for today's card is made with the Metallic & Shimmer Designer Series Paper from the Fall Mini.  This beautiful, sparkly paper is on the Last Chance List.  Today's card uses the Cajun Craze version of the paper, but it also includes Basic Black and Evening Evergreen.  This photo does not come close to adequately showing the sparkle, shimmer and shine that this has.  And who would have thought that the colors Petal Pink and Cajun Craze go together!  But my Color Coach said they did, so I went with it.

A bow made with my favorite Gold & Very Vanilla Ribbon which will be carrying over (YAY!) from the Fall Mini and a few Opal Rounds add the finishing touches to today's card.

The inside has a little more of the pretty Designer Series Paper to give it a bit of sparkle, too.  You can never have too much sparkle in my book!

If you would like a tutorial for today's card, you can download a copy at this link.

A list of the supplies I used are shown below.

FLOWERING BOOTS

Happy Hump Day!

I'm excited to share today's card with you.  This card is made with one of the new bundles available in the Spring Mini Catalog which launches on January 4, 2022.  I loved this set the moment I saw it, and I've heard from many other demonstrators that they love it also.  I hope you like it, too.

One of the many advantages of being a demonstrator is that we get to see what's coming before it is here!  Today's card actually has four sneak peeks on it.  The Flowering Rain Boots Bundle (Item 157691) are the obvious sneak peak, but what do you think the other three are?

The detail on these Flower Rain Boot stamps really makes them pop off the paper when you stamp with them.  Don't the boots on the card look like they are shiny rubber Wellies?  I was amazed when I first used them and put ink to paper.  The detail on the tulips and the tulip leaves is also amazing in person.  I'm not sure the picture justifies the depth and detail these stamps create -- even the close-up!  But I think you can get the idea.

So, have you figured out what the 2nd sneak peek is?  It's the designer series paper of course!  If you love color, then this Sunshine & Rainbow Designer Series Paper is for you!

Just look at this huge pile of color and all these different designs!  And guess what!  This is another Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE choice when you order $50 of merchandize.  So between  Monday's cute Card, and today's card -- I bet I now have you up to $150 of purchases because if you are like me -- you want it all!  But no worries, once you see the new catalog, you are going to have a difficult time restraining yourself to spend ONLY $150!

The third sneak peek is not quite as obvious.  It is the embossing folder that created the Splatters behind the boots.  After all, where there are rain boots, there are usually splatters of mud or water right?  This embossing folder is part of a set of two called Stripes & Splatters (Item 157980).

And the fourth sneak peek?  Well, about the only thing left is the ribbon.  This is a new denim ribbon (Item #149590) that will be available in the new Spring Mini Catalog.  Even though it is called "denim" and it looks like "denim", it doesn't tie like "denim".  It is very soft and easy to tie which is always a plus for any ribbon, right?

This card came together very quickly because of the coordinating dies.  Every image in this stamp set has a coordinating die so no fussy cutting needed this time!  And, of course, using designer series paper for the background always speeds the creative process along because you can use the paper for your color inspiration.  The rainbow paper made it easy to choose, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, and Mango Melody.  What do you think?

I decided to leave the front of my card sentiment free!  I liked how it looked with the focus being on the boot bouquet.  So, I left the sentiment for the inside only.

I decided to carryover the background design of the card front to the inside by duplicating it in a small strip on the left.

So, I'm curious what you think about this Flowering Rain Boots Bundle?  I guarantee that you will be seeing it again!

Although I'm sure you could duplicate this card easily without a tutorial, I have one available at this link if you would like it.

I've already told you about 4 of the sneak peek products used to create this card.  The rest of the current products that I used are shown below.
