JUST A NOTE

HAPPY MONDAY STAMPING FRIENDS!  I'm excited to share my featured bundle with you this week.  I've had this bundle for a while, but this is the first time I've used it.  What a FUN Bundle, and so easy to make quick & simple cards that look anything but "Quick & Simple"!

The featured bundle this week is called Encircled in Friendship.  The sentiments are awesome with beautiful fonts, but in my opinion, the star of the show is the Encircled in Beauty Dies.  There are a total of 6 dies that you can mix and match to make beautiful layering pieces.  If you have not noticed this bundle in the current Annual Catalog, you really should check it out.  It's sad, but if I'm honest, it took a customer that wanted to purchase it to ask me questions about it that actually made me notice it!

The Pool Party and Basic Black color combination for today's card was inspired by a card that was shared by Sandie Ehlers on my upline's Demonstrator Facebook Group.  As soon as I saw this color combination, I knew I had to try it.  I couldn't resist adding a bit of silver foil to give it a bit of bling, but I love this Pool Party and Basic Black combo.  I always think of combining Basic Black with red, but isn't this a pretty color combination?

To make the card, I simply used one of the dies to cut the design in the front of the Basic Black Card Base.  I then cut a piece of Pool Party Card stock with the largest outline die and adhered it to the inside of the card front so that the Pool Party showed through the opening in the front of the card.

Next, I die cut Silver Foil with another of the Encircled in Beauty dies and layered it on the front of the card base with dimensionals.  After stamping one of the sentiments from the stamp set along with the single flower stem on Basic White cardstock, I colored the flower with Pool Party & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends and then die cut it with a Layering Circle Die.  I did add a little more sparkle by adding a touch of Wink of Stella to the flower.

To finish the inside of the card, I mimicked the Pool Party Designer Series Paper Strip from the card front and added another sentiment from the Encircled in Friendship stamp set.

Quick & Simple, right?
