It is a new week and that means it's time for a new featured bundle of the week. This week I will be using the Brightest Glow Bundle from the July - December 2022 Mini Catalog. This bundle is part of a larger suite of products which are all featured on pages 30 - 33 in the Mini Catalog. This Lights Aglow Suite also includes a Christmas Lights Bundle as well as beautiful Specialty Designer Papers, ribbon, and embellishments.
This week my cards will use only the Brightest Glow Bundle and some of the designer paper and embellishments.
Today's card takes full advantage of the unique dies that come with the Brightest Glow Bundle, and it reminds me of the tree I put up in my living room which is covered in warm white lights with Gold and Crystal ornaments.
Are you a colored lights or a white lights person? I like both so I usually have multiple trees so I can have at least one of each.
The dies in this Suite are different from many of our dies. Several of the dies in this bundle create lots of little holes to let the light shine through!
On today's card I used one of those dies to create the "snowfall of lights" on the top and bottom of the card. After die cutting, I matted the Very Vanilla die cut panel with Gold Glimmer paper, one of the beautiful specialty papers in the 12" x 12" Glimmer assortment which includes Evening Evergreen, Very Vanilla, and Gold. The gold glitter shines through each little "light". I added another strip of Gold Glimmer paper between the upper and lower die cut areas. This card is stunning in person. The layout is simple and keeps the focus on the glimmer and glitter.
The Brightest Glow Stamp Set is all sentiments, and if you have followed me for any length of time, you know that I have a weakness for a good sentiment set. I just can't seem to pass up a single one. I particularly love the font in this Merry Christmas sentiment. It is elegant, yet simple, and heat embossing it with gold embossing powder is perfect for this card full of shimmer & shine.
The pretty sentiment die cut is also from the Labels Aglow Dies and it has the perfect size openings at each end to feed the Very Vanilla with Gold ribbon from the suite through them and wrap it around the Gold Glimmer paper. One Gilded Gem was added to the sentiment die cut to give it the finishing touch that it needed.
For the inside of the card, I kept the glitter going. This sentiment from Lights Aglow is also heat embossed with gold and a simple decorative strip of Gold Glimmer Paper was added to the left side of the card.
