Happy Sunday Stamping Friends! It's a new week and that means I have a new Stamp Set to share with you this week! I still need several more Easter Cards to send to friends and family, so this week, while I work on checking that job off my to-do-list, I'm also hoping to give you some inspiration for your cards. This week I will be using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set.
Today, I am also hopping along with the Crafty Collaborations Team in their Share it Sunday Blog Hop
I hope you will grab your favorite snack, sit back, relax, and enjoy the hop! Share it Sunday does not have a specific theme, so we can just share whatever projects we are currently working on. So, for me, that is Easter Cards!
Today's card was made using a technique that I demonstrated a couple of weeks ago on my Connect to Create Video.
The background for the card was created with the Hand-Drawn Dots Stamp Set and the Watercolor Emboss Resist Technique. As I demonstrated in the video, there are a couple of different methods for this Technique, and this background was made using Method 2.
If you missed the video, you can watch the replay here.
I used silver embossing powder and my re-inkers for the background.
The bunny was stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I didn't really understand what the little sprig of flowers was for, but thanks to the Mini Catalog, I figured it out. I guess I should look at the catalog samples a little more carefully! I love how those flowers fit perfectly on my Bunny's neck. She feels pretty spiffy all decked out for Easter!
The little bow made with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon adds a little more sparkle to the card, but still lets you see right through it.
For the inside of my card, I used one of the first stamp sets I purchased after becoming a demonstrator over 16 years ago. I joined Stampin' Up! in February and this was in that first mini catalog. I will likely always keep this stamp from the Glorious Gift stamp set as it is a favorite.
After all, this is what Easter is all about. It isn't about Bunnies, or Easter Eggs, or flowers. We have these various symbols that are part of our Easter celebrations, but what we really celebrate is the fact that Jesus is no longer in that grave, but he arose. So, I like this stamp because it keeps my focus on that!
Now it is time to be inspired by all of the Project in our Blog Hop! Enjoy!
