LIFETIME OF SCRAPS

If you are a paper crafter you probably feel like you have enough scraps to last a lifetime.

Today's card was originally made for a "use-your-scraps" challenge.

Do your Basic White and Very Vanilla scraps of narrow strips seem to multiply when you aren't looking?  Mine sure do!  I always think I will use them for a sentiment or something, but I don't think I could ever need enough sentiment strips to use up all my white and vanilla scraps.  So I decided to use a tiny portion of them (not even enough to make a dent in the pile) to make this Floating Strips card.  I used them "as is" so the widths vary.

After adhering the Basic White and Very Vanilla strips to the Acrylic Sheet, I die cut the assembly with an Everyday Details rectangle die which provided the dotted border.  It was then adhered over a Starry Sky Deckled Rectangle with dimensionals.

The circle wreath was die cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and adhered to the Floating Strips.  The flowers from the Lifetime of Love stamp set were stamped with Black Memento ink on Basic White and colored with Stampin Blends.  After die cutting, the flowers were adhered over the wreath with dimensionals.  Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the flower centers.

To decorate the inside of the card I added a strip of the same Orchid Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) as was used on the card front to the bottom of the Basic White cardstock.  The sentiment from Lifetime of Love was stamped with Starry Sky ink and then the completed Basic White cardstock was layered on Starry Sky cardstock.  Three Iridescent Rhinestones were scattered around the sentiment.
