What are your favorite color Poinsettias? I think when it comes to Poinsettias, I am a bit of a traditionalist so red is still probably my favorite. But I also gravitate to the white ones. The red ones may be more traditional, but the white ones are so elegant!
So for my card today, I opted to go with the white ones. The Season of Elegance Specialty Paper is also, as its name states, very elegant. I chose to use the Basic Beige version of the Specialty Paper for my card's background, but since it was a Christmas card, I couldn't resist adding a little strip of the Cherry Cobbler version of the Season of Elegance.
This paper is so beautiful that it really was difficult to choose which ones to use. There are also other color variations. Click on the image in the Product List below to see them all.
I decided to put my White Poinsetties in a white crate trimmed with gold. Can you every have too much gold?. Well, OK, you probably can, but I really like how the little gold brackets dress up my "rustic" crate.
The Poinsettia image was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Power and then only the leaves were colored with Stampin' Blends. A gold Pastel Sequin was added to the center of each flower.
The sentiment is from the new Peaceful Season stamp set. This sentiment stamp set is designed so that you can mix and match many of the sentiments to create the message you want. Check it out in the Product List below. It's awesome!
I used another sentiment from Peaceful Season for the inside of the card. A strip of the Season of Elegance Specialty Paper carries the "elegance" from the front into the inside.
