LEAVES OF AUTUMN

Today's card has a totally different "feeling" from Monday's card.  Monday's card was full of color, but today's card is quieter and "cleaner".

This card combines the embossing folder and the dies from the Peace on Earth Suite to create our Amber Autumn focal point.  The embossed background is from the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper (DSP).  If you haven't checked out this gorgeous DSP you are going to want to take a closer look.  It is a specialty DSP that has champagne foil accents.  I used a non-foiled side for this card, but both sides are beautiful.

The embossing folder is the Peaceful Greenery embossing folder from the Peaceful Garden Suite.

The mat for my die cut sentiment was made from Copper Foil which is a great color for fall cards.  I actually die cut the mat from the center of my inside foil mat.  This is a great way to stretch the more expensive foil cardstock.

The leaves and acorn image is from the Amber Autumn stamp set.  It was colored with various fall color Stampin' Blends.  The colors used are listed in the product list below and also more specific directions are on the PDF tutorial.

A double bow of Early Espresso Linen Thread and a three Sparkle Gems complete the card front.

the leaves and acorn image was stamped and colored on the inside of the card which is matted with Copper Foil.  You would never know that there is a big hole in the foil mat where the front die cut is front, would you?
