SIMPLE EASTER WISHES

This week I am using products from the Easter Joy Suite Collection.  Today's card is as easy as it gets!

The Easter Joy Designer Series Paper, (DSP) includes two sheets that have beautiful designs for card fronts.  This pretty floral oval wreath on a dotted Balmy Blue background is one of those designs.  All I did was cut it to the size I wanted, added a Balmy Blue mat and then adhered it directly to the card Thick Basic White card front.


The fun tulips in the center of the wreath were die cut from Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lolly and Peach Pie cardstock.  There was no stamping or coloring involved -- just a little assembly.


I added some die cut "grass" behind the top edge of the sentiment strip and adhered it over the bottom of the flowers with dimensionals.  Voila!  Add a few gems, and I was done!


As I was die cutting the flowers and grass for the card front I cut an extra set and added it to the inside of the card.  

The inside sentiment is from the Prayers & Promises stamp set.  I think it works as an Easter sentiment, don't you?

If you need some quick and simple cards, the six different card front designs can be used for a variety of card types.  Two sheets of 6 each could make a dozen quick cards.

SIMPLY LOVE

This week I am sharing the Endless Love Bundle to provide you some Valentine Card Inspiration!


Today's card is a quick and simple card.  It isn't truly a SIP (Stamps, Ink and Paper) card because I did break my own rules and use a couple of the dies and the pretty Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder from the Made with Love Suite, but the card is definitely quick and easy!  And if you don't have a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, no worries, the card would be just as pretty without the embossing & the die cut Misty Moonlight arrow.

The Designer Series Paper(DSP) is the pretty, Made with Love 12" x 12" paper from the same suite.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but the DSP strips are woven together in the corner.

I wanted to use a non-typical color combination for today's Valentine.  I first chose the specific DSP patterns I wanted to use from the collection.  Since I was using narrow 1/2" strips, I selected smaller patterns and the main color for those happened to be Flirty Flamingo.  This isn't a color I use often.   So, I needed some help to figure out which color to combine with Flirty Flamingo.  When I'm color challenged, I go to my trusty color coach for advice, and it suggested Misty Moonlight.  This combination is definitely not one I would have picked without help from my "coach", but I tried it and was very surprised how much I liked the combination.


I stamped several hearts in the lower left half diagonal area of the card.  The Endless Love stamp set is not classified as a distINKtive stamp set, but my Misty Moonlight stamped hearts definitely turned out with a lot of shading on them.  Who knows why?  Maybe my ink pad needs reinking, but whatever the reason I really like how they turned out!  

For the inside of the card, I carried over the design from the card front.


Rather than 4 strips, I used only 2 to provide more room for the LOVE sentiment.  I guess technically, this isn't a Valentine Card, but I certainly think it could be used as one.  I like that by omitting a specific Valentine reference makes it perfect for sending love anytime of the year!

SENDING HOPE

Welcome to the first full week of 2026.  If you happened to catch my video announcement last week about the changes coming at Fairless Stampin' Flair this year, then you already know that I am reducing the number of posts each week on this blog from 3/week to 2/week.  At this point the plan is to post on Monday and Thursday.

My goal is to have one card be a "Pat-Style" Stamps, Ink, & Paper (SIP) card.  This is a challenge I've made to myself as SIP cards are not easy for me.  I love lots of layers and details with Techniques and Fun Folds tossed in.  But I am going to try!  However, just you understand the "rules" I made for myself -- embellishments, like gems and ribbon are absolutely allowed on a "Pat-Style" SIP card.  

Today's card is my SIP card for this week.


Most weeks I will continue my practice of featuring a specific product each week.  This week I am featuring the HOPE LOVE & JOY Bundle.  I gave you a sneak peak of this new, unique bundle last Friday.  Today I decided to use the "H PE" stamp from the HOPE LOVE & JOY stamp set.  I used a variety of the images that are meant to replace the "O".


I wanted to create a bit of an ombre cascade of HOPE but had a difficult time decided which colors to use.  To give me some direction I Googled, "What is the color usually associated with HOPE?"  The most consistent response was "green".  Google says the color green is associated with new beginnings, growth and optimism.  That sounds like "hope" to me.

Other sources suggested "blue" and "yellow."  Blue because it represents spirituality, peace, serenity and calm and yellow because it stands for renewal, happiness, optimism and creativity.

Since I don't often use greens except at Christmas or for nature scenes, I decided to go with greens with a little pop of yellow at the top.


The images were much easier to choose.  A dove, a heart, and praying hands all portray hope.

As I indicated, SIP cards are not "easy" for me.  I think I spent more time figuring out this simple card than some of the avid card styles I typically make.  And I do have to admit that I couldn't resist making a stepped-up version of this same card.  I just needed to see what it would look like if the images were stamped on a separate piece of colored cardstock that was the same color as the stamped word and then die cut and adhered to the card with dimensionals.


Since I made it, I thought I may as well share it.  Just know, it is not my intent to do this with each SIP card I make.  Just consider it "baby steps"!  I think it is going to take me some time to fully embrace the SIP card challenge.

Here is the inside of my card.  I chose to make it a Get-Well card as "getting well" certainly involves "hope".  The sentiments on the inside of the card are from the Unbounded Love and Friendly Foliage stamp sets.  

FYI -- The strip of Daffodil Delight DSP on the bottom edge was NOT PLANNED.  I made a boo-boo that I needed to cover up!  More on that in the Tutorial.  

The lesson for us all, don't stress!  There is always a way to fix a boo-boo!

HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS

This week I am going to be sharing "Last Minute Christmas" cards.  If you are still making your Christmas Cards this week, you are probably feeling a little stressed and could use some ideas for cards that do not take too long to make.


Although this card may not look like it is a quick & easy card, it is!  As long as you have the right tools, this card is VERY quick and easy to put together.

The Very Vanilla card front with all the holly leaves was created with the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.  With just one quick pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine you emboss and die cut the holly leaves at the same time.  


If you are not familiar with a Hybrid Embossing Folder, it means that there is a die that fits inside of the embossing folder.  You just add your cardstock in the folder and run it through your die cutting machine!  Voila, you are finished!  t doesn't get much easier than that.

The two rectangular die cuts and the "joy" are also created with dies form the same Holly Jolly dies.  


There is zero stamping on the card front.  And those holly leaves are positioned perfectly to be able to tuck the corners of the sentiment assembly under them.  I added a little liquid adhesive on the back of the assembly to hold it firmly in place.

On my card I did add Basic Rhinestones colored with Stampin' Blends to highlight the holly "berries".  However, if you are really short on time just leave those off.  Honestly, if I were to make this card again, I don't think I would put the colored Rhinestones on it.  It is clean & elegant without them.  By the time I figured out I would like to leave them off, they were stuck in place, so removing them was not an option without damaging the card (I tried).


The Holly Jolly sentiment on the inside was heat embossed with gold embossing powder, and I added a simple Brushed Gold Foil strip to add a bit of decoration.

A list of the products used is shown below.  The products needed are few.  You just need the right ones to keep it quick & simple.  If you don't add the Rhinestones, you would not need those or the Stampin' Blends that I used to color them.
