LIGHT UP GEARS & TEXTURES

I have totally "switched gears" this week as I move from last week's Easter Baskets to Gears & Textures.  This fun bundle makes this engineer's heart go pitter-patter!

Today's card is made with Cloud Cover (a color I haven't used much) and Secret Sea (a color that I seem to use on every card lately).

There are so may fun elements in this bundle that it was difficult to choose which ones to use.  So I used a LOT of them.

Creating collages is something that I definitely need some practice doing.  Often collages tend to be associated with "grungy" or "distressed" cards which are not my forte, but I'm going to keep trying.

However, today's card has a crisper and cleaner look.  The Secret Sea frame was made with the Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I used a Textured Notes Die (which is on the Last Chance List at a nice discount) to cut the center of the frame.

The framed collage was stamped with stamped-off Cloud Cover ink which keeps it very subtle.  If you want a more distinct collage, don't stamp-off.

The large gear was made with 3 different dies from the bundle and 4 die cuts.

But I think my favorite part of this card are the two hanging lights.  When I first looked at the stamp and the two dies that are used to make these, frankly, I was a little confused about how they were supposed to work.  But I love them, and they were so easy to make!

For all the details to make today's card use this link to download a PDF TUTORIAL.

For the inside of the card, I created a version of the collage that is very similar to the design framed on the card front.

Since the Gears & Textures Bundle does not include any greetings, I used sentiments from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set which has recently been a go-to stamp set.

BAUBLES AND A WREATH

This week I will be featuring the Bauble Blooms Bundle from Stampin' Up!

For today's card I combined it with the Traditional Wreath Embossing Folder.

The Traditional Wreath Embossing folder makes a large, beautiful wreath!  It is a 6" x 6" folder and the ornament from Bauble Blooms fits perfectly in the center of the wreath.

After embossing the Basic White cardstock I used a sponge dauber to add Soft Sea Foam ink to the raised surfaces.  Two ornaments were created on Basic White cardstock using Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo ink.  The first was die cut with the solid ornament die and the second ornament was die cut with the detailed die that cuts out the flowers and the leaves.

The flowers were then assembled to the ornament with dimensionals before attaching the stamped and die cut ornament to the card front.  The two die cut leaves were snipped into 4 pieces and tucked behind the ornament.

The hanger was die cut from Brushed Silver Foil and after coloring a piece of white Bakers Twin with Flirty Flamingo ink, it was tied to the hanger.

The Mossy Meadow sentiment from Baubles Bloom was die cut with a die from Textured Notes Dies.

The inside of the card was kept simple with only a Soft Sea Foam mat providing a bit of color for the Basic White message layer.

The Traditional Wreath Embossing Folder will become available in 2 days on September 3, 2025, when the Fall Mini Catalog goes live.  The item # is 165874.

REMARKABLE POP OUT FUN FOLD

The final You are Remarkable card this week is a Surprise Pop Out Fun Fold.  I paired it with the Textured Notes Dies and Woven Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The card base is similar to a Gate Fold card that has an additional hinge in the center.  When you remove the belly band and open the gate the center hinge moves reward and in front of it is a mechanism pops out a surprise center panel.

I showed how to make this fun fold during a Learning with Friends video recently.  If you missed it you can always watch the replay.  It is much easier than it might look at first glance.

The center pop out panel was die cut with a Textured Notes Die from another of the designs from Woven Textures DSP.  This DSP looks like linen so I chose to stamp my daisy directly on the DSP.  The lighter color of the linen paper allows the border design created with the Textured Notes die to be more visible.

I also stamped the cute little bee next to the Pretty Peacock daisy.  Can you see her in the upper left?

I used two smaller Textured Notes dies to create the backing for the daisy on the belly band.  Each size die has a different border design.  I love that!  It also makes a pretty background for my daisy.  After stamping the daisy on Basic White card stock, I fussy cut just the flower and a short section of the stem and adhered it to the panel assembly with dimensionals.

Regal Foiled dots add a bit of bling to the pop out panel and the belly band.

Since there is not sufficient space to write a message on the pop out panel, I added two panels to the back of the fun fold.  Now there is plenty of space for a personal note.
