A TALL MERRY CHRISTMAS

Henry & Stretch, the Dachshunds you met earlier this week want to you to their friends DollyLlama and DramaLlama.  Do you know which is which?  Me either!  They are identical twins.

Dolly & Drama are here to wish you an early Merry Christmas.  Summer has gone so fast.  It's hard to believe that there is only one week left in August.

That means it is time for me to crank up my efforts on making Christmas Cards.

The Llama Twins were so tall that they needed a slimline card!  I don't make many slimline cards because I never know exactly what size to make the card.   So, I just made the card to fit in a standard size business envelope.  The finished card size is 8-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Dolly & Drama are all dressed up in their pretty Christmas Scarves.  They wanted to let you know that they "knitted" them in their favorite colors, Cherry Cobbler, Lost Lagoon, and Pecan Pie.  It sounded like sort of a "strange" combination to me, but for some reason it works!


What do you think?  Do you like their choice of colors? It may be a little unique, but it seems like a nice warm color combination for Christmas.  So, maybe they knew what they were talking about.

I felt Dolly and Drama needed a little golden bling to carry on the theme of the gold in the Cherry Cobbler Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP).  So, Drama (or is that Dolly) got a Gold Bow Tie and both received a gold "embroidered" decoration on their scarves.


The inside of Dolly's and Drama's card is simple but pretty.  Strips of the same Season of Elegance DSP and Textured Metallic Foil edge the Very Vanilla cardstock and highlight the gold heat embossed sentiment from Bauble Blooms.

A LITTLE BEHIND

On Monday you met Henry, the cute little Dachshund.  Today you get to meet his cousin, Stretch, who is running a little behind.  

Stretch tends to be a little slow because he is an extra-long Dachshund so it takes him a little longer to get here.  Stretch is also a little shy because he is different from most Dachshund's However, he is a very excited that he got his own card.  It just may take him a little extra time to fully come out to play.

Stretch is getting a little braver and is starting to peak out from around the corner to say hi.  He is a Gray Granite Dachshund who has a colorful Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist Sweater.  

OK, he has thought about it and says he is ready to meet you!

Stretch brought several Brass Butterfly friends with him as he sneaked out of his Woven Textures house.

His message to each of you is that It's a Wonderful Day to CELEBRATE You!

LONG TIME NO SEE

I have some cute, fun cards to share with you this week.  The Long Time No See stamp set will be featured, and the two little characters in this set are adorable.  They make me smile, so I hope these cards will bring a smile to your face also.


Today please meet Henry.  He is a little brown (Crumb Cake) Dachshund.  Henry is a lot like me in that he is usually cold, so today he is all bundled up in his brand new sweater.

Henry really likes his Summer Splash card which was made with Two-Tone cardstock.  He said I should tell you that he didn't come up with the cool design idea, but he learned it from Brandy Cox.

At first Henry wasn't too sure he liked the colors of his new sweater which are Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Freesia and Pretty Peacock.  But he says they are growing on him, and he does think that they are pretty with his Summer Splash card front.

The inside of the card continues the two-tone triangle layout.


Henry stuck his nose in to complete what he started to tell you on the card front -- Long Time No See!   He hopes you come back soon!
