A THANKSGIVING FUN FOLD

It has been a long time since I made a Double Z fun fold.  It had been so long that I couldn't remember the dimensions for cutting and scoring the two card bases, so I had to try to find one of my old tutorials.

That's when I realized how long it had actually been.  I finally found one, and it was from 2023!  I used to make this fun fold all the time because it is very easy but looks complicated.

It is also a great way to show off a Designer Series Paper (DSP) Collection because there are so many different panels that you can use several different designs on the same card.  This card today uses four different patterns from the gorgeous Gathering Together DSP.

My challenge (to myself) this week was to use Two-Tone Cardstock, and I thought this Double Z Fun Fold would be a good way to use both sides and show off the two shades.

The large Double Z card base is made with the dark side of Pecan Pie two-tone, and the small Double Z card base is made with the light side of Pecan Pie two-tone.

All stamped images and greetings on today's card are from the Amber Autumn Bundle.  These leaves are so much fun to color.  I'll admit that my version of these oak leaves don't look much like my neighbor's oak leaves that now cover my grass.  Those are pretty much just a solid brown.  If I'd colored mine with solid Pecan Pie, that is about what the ones on the grass look like, but who wants solid brown leaves on a card?  Not me, so I gave them a little "unrealistic" colors.

I chose colors from the DSP, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, and a tiny touch of Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color my leaves.  Since we do not have Crushed Curry Stampin' Blends, I substituted Daffodil Delight.

A LITTLE BEHIND

On Monday you met Henry, the cute little Dachshund.  Today you get to meet his cousin, Stretch, who is running a little behind.

Stretch tends to be a little slow because he is an extra-long Dachshund so it takes him a little longer to get here.  Stretch is also a little shy because he is different from most Dachshund's However, he is a very excited that he got his own card.  It just may take him a little extra time to fully come out to play.

Stretch is getting a little braver and is starting to peak out from around the corner to say hi.  He is a Gray Granite Dachshund who has a colorful Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist Sweater.

OK, he has thought about it and says he is ready to meet you!

Stretch brought several Brass Butterfly friends with him as he sneaked out of his Woven Textures house.

His message to each of you is that It's a Wonderful Day to CELEBRATE You!

OTTERS AT PLAY FUN FOLD

We are continuing to get to know the ABC family today.  Mom, Alice, son, Benji, and Dad, Charlie, have moved to a different spot on the lake today to meet their friend, Dave.

Dave likes to hang out in the weedy part of the lake because he thinks there are more fish over there.  Looks like he might be right!

Dave invited his friend Ella to join them for dinner, but he's got her hiding in the weeds as he's not quite ready to introduce her to the ABC family just yet.  If you look closely, you can see her peeking through the tall, viny weeds on the "inside" of the card.

As you may have noticed, Dave's a bit lazy and seems to enjoy watching the fish swim by as he sits in the weeds watching Benji playing in the water close to Mom and Dad cuddling on their log.

Dave invited his friend Frank to dinner also, but I don't think Frank is going to be much help in procuring dinner.    He looks about ready to take a nap as he floats on his back in the water.   I doubt he is going to catch many fish that way.  Ella seems to be the only one alert enough to catch dinner.

She looks like she's got her eyes on that huge school of fish that is swimming across the bottom of the lake.  I think she is ready to pounce!

What do you think?  Are they going to eat tonight?
