BATS AND GHOSTS CUTE HALLOWEEN

I have never been a someone who made a huge deal of Halloween, but when I saw the Frightfully Cute Bundle and the Cute Halloween  Designer Series Paper in the current Mini Catalog, I couldn't resist.

It was just way to CUTE to pass up.

The layout of today's card is a great layout to showcase designer series paper.  The card shows 3 of the 16 different patterns included in the 6" x 6" package.  I also like this paper because about half of the designs are very generic and can be used for any card.  You can see all the patterns in the Product List below.

The coordinating Frightful Tags Dies in this bundle are also very versatile.  There are several nice sentiment/tag dies, a circle die, a cute fence, a bare tree, stars and an owl that could be used anytime of the year.  Yes, the spider web and witch's hat are probably most appropriate for Halloween, but if you live on a lake, like I do, I'm sure I can find a use for that spider web die that would have nothing to do with Halloween.  I have those webs everywhere almost as soon as the snow melts!

While I am not a fan of bats, I do have to admit that these little critters on the Flirty Flamingo background are definitely cute.  The ghosts floating around on the Highland Heather background also look pretty friendly.  So friendly, in fact, that I let one of them escape so he could play in the black glitter tree!

For the inside of the card, I let a couple more ghosts escape from their paper and they helped their bat friend to also escape and help decorate the inside of the card.

If you would like to make this card, there is a detailed tutorial available with all the dimensional cutting information and step-by-step instructions to recreate the card.  Or, alternatively, choose your own favorite Designer Series Paper to recreate this cute layout.

I'd love to hear your comments on this card, or let me know how you use the layout to create your own masterpiece!
