PASTEL PERFECTION

The final Timeless Arrangements card this week uses the 3 rectangles to create tall flowerpots to hold our floral bouquets.

The card base is made with one of my new favorite colors, Lemon Lolly, and flower colors are Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Basic White.  The "flowerpots" are made from Smokey Slate cardstock.

In person, the colors of this card are much more pastel than they appear in the photograph.

I have often thought that I would like some tall narrow flowerpots on my front porch.  Since I still don't have them on my porch, I thought I would put them on a card.

The edges were darkened with a sponge dauber and Smokey Slate ink and the pots were then embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Crosshatch Basics 3D embossing folder.  I love, love this folder.  It adds just the amount of texture when you only want a little.

To make the bouquets, I die cut many stems and floral pieces with the various dies in the Timeless Arrangement dies.  Once I had a variety of pieces, I started mixing and matching them until I had 3 bouquets that I liked.

The dies from this set that have rectangles on the bottom of the floral elements make it so easy to mix, match and attach!  You can cut them apart to make smaller pieces or leave them as a full die cut.  The possibilities are endless!

To give my three pots a finished look, I added a small faux bow from Basic White Crinkled Ribbon (now sadly retired) that was tied with a piece of silver cord from Simply Elegant Trim.

A Classis Matte Dot was placed on each pot to add just a bit of trim.

The inside of the card was stamped with the same three pastel colors used for the flowers on the front, Calypso Coral, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink.
