The card today is a FUN-FOLD card, and it will bring fun (or hopefully at least smiles) to the man in your life. This week I have been using the Brewed for You stamp set, and, on this card, I combined it with the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper which also is perfect for masculine cards.
The Fun-Fold is a little difficult to describe, so I hope the following couple of pictures will help you understand how it works.
The front diamond shaped section of the card folds in both directions. To learn more about how to make this Fun Fold a detailed tutorial can be downloaded at this link. The tutorial includes all the cutting and scoring dimensions on a detailed sketch.
The front of the card is decorated with the bottle and stein from the Brewed for You stamp set and coordinating dies. The beer in the stein was easy to make by die cutting a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, and the beer for the bottle was made by stamping the bottle a second time on Crushed Curry and fussy cutting it a little smaller than the die cut bottle. There is an embossing die for the beer in the stein, but I added some white dots to those bubbles with a gel pen, so they showed a little better. A few more bubbles were added to the bottle.
The beer is garnished with a cone of hops, also die cut with a die from Brewed Dies.
When the card is opened it looks like this.
If you flip the pointed front flap the opposite way you would see the card front with the bottle and stein.
I know that sometimes cards with angles (like the pointed section) can be a bit intimidating, but this Fun Fold is really remarkably simple. Check out the tutorial and you will see what I mean.
