HELLO LADYBUG FOR SIMPLY MONDAY

Happy Monday Stamping Friends.  This week I will be featuring the Hello Ladybug stamp set.  It has a coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch which is awesome for simplifying our projects.

To keep today's card simple, I let the Designer Series Paper do the work.  This paper is from the Bright and Beautiful 6" x 6" Collection and the more I use this paper the more I love it.  It has so many versatile designs and the colors are so pretty.  To add a bit of pizzaz I folded the upper corner down to reveal the Lemon Lime Twist Circles on the opposite side of the paper.

My card base is Pretty Peacock and in the upper corner I heat embossed the triple flower stamp from Hello Ladybug with white embossing powder.  A Lemon Lime Twist gem in the center of each flower adds a bit of sparkle.

The Ladybug was made with a Pretty Peacock Body and my Color Coach told me that Pretty Peacock works well with Melon Mambo, so I gave her Melon Mambo wings.  What do you think of this color combination?  Did my color coach give me good advice?

The large leaf is another stamp from Hello Ladybug.  Since this stamp set does not have coordinating dies, I did have to fussy cut the leaf, but it is super simple to fussy cut.

For the inside of the card, I again let the designer series paper do the work for me.  A narrow strip of DSP matted on a coordinating color quickly dresses up the inside of any card.  Adding DSP on the envelope flap completes the ensemble.

If you would like a free tutorial with all the cutting and scoring dimensions, you can download a copy at this link.

A complete list of the products I used is shown below, and don't forget that most of our Designer Series Paper is 15% during June.  This would be the best time to pick up the Bright and Beautiful DSP collection I used on this card.  Who doesn't like saving 15%?  At the end of this post, I have also added a complete list of all the DSP that is on sale during June.

  1. Pat, this is such a simple but striking layout! I love the easy way to show both sides of the DSP. And yes, the Bright & Beautiful paper is so cheerful. Thanks for sharing!
