The card I'm sharing today is a stepped up version of one of the cards we made during the Creativity Now Event.
I love this die that creates the pretty pine-bough border. We learned a lot of fun ways to use it during the event.
I thought the colors of this card (Misty Moonlight, Basic Gray, Gray Granite, Cajun Craze and Night of Navy) were really pretty and definitely not something I would have figured out on my own. As Mom would have said, that little pop of Cajun Craze, "just doesn't something to it!"
The images on this card were colored with Watercolor Pencils, something I often forget all about using. That is what is great about participating in events let by others -- it reminds you of something you may have forgotten, and it stretches your imagination by seeing ideas from others.
After coloring, the bird and bough were easily cut out with coordinating dies!
At the event we did not decorate the inside of our cards, but if you have followed me for any length of time, you know I cannot leave the inside of a card or its envelope naked.
I used the bough stamp to add a little color to both the envelop flap and the inside of the card.
After stamping they were also colored with the Watercolor Pencils. I definitely need to remember to start using those more often!
