WINTERLY TRIPLE FLOATING DIAMONDS

This week I will be featuring sneak peeks of the Winterly Tree Tops Suite.  This is a new suite that will be in the Fall Mini Catalog, and it was featured during the Creativity Now Demonstrator Event in June.  I debated for several weeks before the event if I wanted to participate so I could order the suite.  I decided at the last minute to order it, and I am glad that I did.  The event was great and I'm loving playing with these new products.

Today's card is a Triple Floating Diamond Fun Fold.  This looks like a difficult card to make, but it isn't at all.  I demonstrated how to make this fun fold on a Learning With Friends Video a few weeks ago.  If you missed it, you can watch the replay here.

This card uses the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is beautiful.  The two bird images on the outside floating diamonds are from the designer series paper and the center image is stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends.

However, I also could have also die cut the center image from the DSP.  I just realized after I had already stamped and colored the image that the die would also cut this same image from the DSP.

The DSP bird on the left has a coordinating die making its creation quick and easy.

The smaller bird on the right was fussy cut from the DSP.  Isn't he a cutie?

One thing about this Triple Floating Diamond Fun Fold is that there doesn't appear to be any place to write your message, but that was easily solved by using the back of the card.

I laid the two pieces of Basic White cardstock together and then stamped the same image as was used on the front center diamond.

For all the details to make this fun fold you can download a FREE TUTORIAL at this link.  The link to the video is included on the tutorial so once you download the tutorial you will easily be able to find the video on my YouTube Channel.

I think the DSP that I used on the panels behind the diamonds is my favorite of the collection.

It is difficult to see on photos, but these birch trees have a lot of cute little birds perched in their branches.

The "snowy" paper on the diamonds was made by stamping the snow with VersaMark ink on Basic White cardstock and then and heat embossing with clear embossing powder.  A Blending Brush with Gray Granite ink was used to color the cardstock.  When it was wiped with a paper towel, out pops the "snow"!

Unfortunately, you are going to need to wait until September before you can order these new products -- unless you join the Stampin' Up! family as a demonstrator, then you can order them beginning tomorrow August 6!  Getting our hands on new products early is one of the wonderful benefits of being a demonstrator.  Have questions on the benefits of becoming a demo?  Contact me.  I'd love to have you join my team.
