Since it is the last week of the month that means it is Hodgepodge Week. Rather than using a featured stamp set or bundle all week, I will share a variety of cards.
I used the Whitewashing Technique with Embossing Folders for today's card. This technique was featured on one of my Learning with Friends videos earlier this month. It is a super simple technique. All you need is a White Craft Ink Pad, some cardstock and an embossing folder.
If you missed the video, you can still watch the replay to see just how easy it is.
As I was learning and practicing the technique, I experimented with a variety of embossing folders and this Dashing Designs Embossing Folder turned out to be one of my favorites for the technique. The whitewash really seems to "pop" on the card.
I wanted an All Occasion card that I could use for Thanksgiving or fall birthdays, so I pulled out my Autumn Expressions Bundle to create the focal point bouquet.
The coordinating dies made it quick and easy to stamp and die cut the wheat and tree stump and the leafy dies have great detail on them so no stamping is even required.
The colors are Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Lost Lagoon and Early Espresso.
For all the details you can download a tutorial using this link.
To decorate the inside of the card and the envelope flap I used some leftover scraps from the White Washing Technique Sheet.
