WINTERLY TREE TOPS OPEN ME! FUN FOLD

The WOW is on the inside of today's card.  I'm calling this fun fold "OPEN ME! FUN FOLD" because it really does need to be opened to be appreciated.

Yes, the front of this card is pretty, but you really need to open this card to fully appreciate it!

The pine branches that frame the birds on the card front were created using a mask that was from the inside of the die cut made with the border die from Winterly Tree Tops.  The die makes a rectangular border.  So, to make a square border, I used that mask in two steps.

For the first step I blended the top and a portion of each side with Shaded Spruce ink.  Then for the second step, I moved the mask up and blended the bottom and a portion of each side. When using this technique you need to keep your eye on the area where the sides overlap to make sure the transition area looks OK.

The birds were die cut from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Don't you love dies that coordinate with DSP?

The panel on the right side of the card is a sneak peak of the inside of the card.

In my recent Learning with Friends video I demonstrated how to make this fun fold.  If you missed the "LIVE", you can still catch the replay.

So, drum roll please!  Here is the inside!

Isn't this a great fun fold to show off these beautiful border print designer series papers that we hate to cut up?

I added a bird that I fussy cut from another of the Nests of Winter DSP papers.  I also added a sentiment from the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set.  This card is so quick and simple to make.  The only stamping was the sentiments!
