For my last card this week, I have a Slimline Card. I don't make many slimline cards, but this was a challenge for my Coffee Club, so I thought I would share what I came up with.
I used a technique for the pine branch border that was similar to the technique I used on Wednesday's Card. But rather than "shortening" the border to create a square, I lengthened it to fill the longer slimline layout. I also stepped it up a bit by rotating the mask and blending two layers of pines -- a darker and a lighter color layer. These close-ups may show that better.
All the birds were fussy cut from the Nests of Winter DSP. Since the Winterly Trees stamp set does not include Christmas greetings, the sentiment is from Peaceful Seasons stamp set. The die for the sentiment is also a Peaceful Season Die.
I used some Gold Twisted Thread wrapped behind the sentiment to set it off.
For the inside of the card, I again used my pine branch mask to create some branches along the side.
