This week I am featuring the unique Paper Tags Bundle. This set basically consists of greetings, but it is the coordinating dies that make it a great add to your paper crafting collection.
The pretty copper background from the Paper Tag was made using the Faux Tin Ceiling Technique. I demonstrated a simplified version of this technique several weeks ago on my Learning with Friends Video series, but you can still watch the replay on YouTube.
I used Copper Textured Metallic Foil and the So Swirly Embossing Folder to create the "Tin ceiling".
The Paper Tag is a stamp that stamps the background of the sentiment rather than the greeting itself. I stamped the image with VersaMark on Pretty Peacock, and then embossed it with White Embossing Powerder.
A faux bow was created with Basic Beige Ribbon and a scrap of retired copper ribbon that I found in my stash.
I used the same embossing folder for the Basic Beige mat on the inside of the card that I used for the card front layer. It is one of two small embossing folders that come in the Glass & Gardens embossing folder pack.
If I were to make the card again, I probably would not embosse the mat on the inside of the card again. Since this is a narrow embossing folder I needed a practice try to get the front layer looking the way I likeed it. So I just used the practice layer for the inside card mat. Honestly, the embossing really doesn't show that much, so that step could be easily skipped.
