A CRUMPLED SCARECROW

Charlie, the scarecrow, is back for another visit today, and he has brought along his friend, Crowlene.

Crowlene has gotten so brave that she now even sits on Charlie's head!  He doesn't mind because today he is just enjoying his field of sunflowers.  He has no corn to protect today!

This card was made using the "crumpled" background technique.  I'm not sure if that is the "official" name, but that is what I'm calling it because it involves scrunching and crumpling cardstock.  I first saw this technique on a card by Brandy Cox.

On the inside of this card I added a few colorful leaves.  I used the same colors I used on Charlie and his sunflower patch.  I used Stampin' Blends for the leaves, but I didn't really "color" or "blend" the colors.  The leaves are very small, so I just touched them with the various color Stampin' Blends and let the colors spread.  It was quick & easy.

It gives a nice touch of color to the inside of the card, so it doesn't feel forgotten.
