FLOURISH & FRAMES HOT FOILING

When Stampin' Up! introduced their new Hot Foil System a couple of months ago, I got so excited that I went a little overboard!  By going "overboard" I'm talking about buying way too many new products.  So, this week I am going to use some of those Hot Foil products that I haven't used yet. 

Today's card uses the Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Bundle.  I was immediately drawn to these hot foil dies when I first saw them, but then I started seeing some posts in the Metallic Magic Craft Class Facebook Group, that sort of scared me off from trying it! 

The Metallic Magic Facebook Group is an exclusive group for those that have purchased Stampin' Up!'s Hot Foil System.  If you purchase the system before January 1, 2027, you get the Craft Class for free and can also join the group.

It's an awesome group for sharing ideas, tips and tricks that help get great results.  It's also a useful place to ask questions when you're struggling a bit.  

However, there initially wasn't much shared about this particular bundle, and the few posts I saw mentioned issues with over-foiling.  So, I put off using the dies.

I totally worried for no reason!  I followed the directions that came with the system and had no trouble at all.  

I wanted to keep my card elegantly simple, so I decided to make an all-white card--well, mostly -with texture and dimension.

Here's a closer look at how the layers came together.

The bottom layer is made with the largest frame hot foil die which is adhered directly to the front of the Thick Basic White card base.

The second layer is embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder with the center cut out using the largest coordinating cutting die.  This layer is popped up with dimensionals.

The middle layer was made with the 2nd largest Flourish & Frames Hot Foil die.  

This Hot Foil Bundle includes several small, fun, flourish dies that can be used to add additional decoration and detail to the frames.

The flowers and leaves are from the coordinating stamp set.  I hadn't used my Shimmer Brushes yet either, so used the Crisp Cantaloupe & Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Brushes to color my 3 little flowers.  These Shimmer Brushes are awesome!  It's like a colored version of Wink of Stella!

The front sentiment is from the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies.  If you want to start Hot Foiling, but aren't sure where to start, this sentiment die is a great place to begin!  It is very easy to use and makes eleven, versatile, greetings all at once!

Once I finally pulled out this bundle, I was on a roll and loving it.  So, I created another die cut just like the largest one on the card front to decorate the inside of my card.  The inside sentiment is from the Words & Wishes Stamp Set.
