VERTICAL BLOOMS BOOK FOLD

It's Monday, which means it is time for a new featured stamp set of the week.  This week I will be using the Vertical Blooms stamp set.  This was a new stamp set in the 23-24 Annual Catalog.  I was intrigued by the vertical sentiment as they were something a little different than what I already own.  And while I have had it for a while, I haven't used it a lot yet, so decided I would feature it this week.  (That makes me use it!)

Since it is Monday, that also means that I try to do a "Simply Monday" card, and today's card could not be easier.  The front of the card was made with one of the "ready-made" panels from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This paper collection includes two sheets that have several panels that are prefect for card fronts.  All I needed to do was cut it out and then trim it to the size I needed for the front of my "book".

My card base is a standard 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card.  Normally, I score my book Fun Fold card so that I have a 1" binding, but on today's card I made the binding a little narrower so that I could maximize the size of the pretty daisy DSP.

My card base is made with Wild Wheat cardstock and the sentiment and Fresh as a Daisy DSP are both matted with Early Espresso cardstock.

I added a Wild Wheat Ribbon tied in a simple double knot and then added 3 In-Color Wild Wheat Dots to give just a tiny bit of bling.  Like I said.  It doesn't get much easier than that.

Since the inside of the card is narrower due to the Book Binding Fun Fold, I cut the strip of Wild Wheat DSP for the inside narrower than normal.   It is only 1/4" wide which jazzed up the inside a little without overpowering the narrower format.  It also leaves plenty of room for a handwritten note.

All products used on today's card are in the list below, but there are few!  This is definitely a quick and simple card that requires minimal supplies.
