PINKY PROMISE

Have you ever made a Pinky Promise?  That's what today's card is all about.

Today, I'm taking a one-day break from my Count on Me series to share this special card made with the new Here Together Bundle and the Natural Tones Stampin' Blends.

I first shared this new set last week on February 1st when it became available for purchase.  Today I have a card that uses the other main image in the Here Together stamp set.  This image depicts the Pinky Promise.

I combined it with the Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper to provide an elegant background for the hands united in a promise.

These ladies had their nails done and put on their prettiest gold and pearl bracelets to come together and promise to get through life's challenges together.  That's what friends do, right?  If have a little plaque hanging in my home that says, "Friends are God's way of taking care of us".  Where would we be without friends?  I know I treasure mine, and I'm sure you treasure yours.

To color the hands, I used the SU500 and SU900 Neutral Tones.  These two colors are in the "Medium" and the "Lights" Combo Packs respectfully.  These new Stampin' Blends are available as a complete set of 10 Stampin' Blends, or five different Combo Sets of two -- Light, Medium Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep.  Each combo pack includes a cool and a warm tone.  I did my shading by using multiple coats of the same color rather than using two different colors.

Even though the Here Together set is a different stamp set from this week's featured stamp set, Count on Me, it is definitely all about communicating the same messages -- that we are stronger when we are united together, than when we are alone.

The Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper Collection is a set of 4" x 6" designer series paper, so when I cut my piece down 4-5/8" x 3-3/4", I had a small piece left over that I could use to decorate the inside of the card.  Never let a bit of pretty paper go to waste!  The sentiment for the inside is another of the sentiments from the Here Together Stamp Set.
