BEAUTIFUL SHAPES & NATURE'S PRINTS

Today I combined the Beautiful Shapes Dies with this week's featured bundle Nature's Prints.

First, I embossed the card front with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front.  Next, I cut multiple hexagon shapes from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper using one of the Hexagon Dies from Beautiful Shapes Dies.  I layered those hexagon shapes on the card front to create a design in the lower left half of the card.  You can see nine of the twelve prints in the Sun Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper in these hexagons.  Aren't they pretty?

The floral focal point was made with two of the stamps in the Nature's Prints Stamp Set.  The obvious one is the small flower which also has a coordinating die in the Nature's Prints Dies.  The second stamp is the "Splat" (for lack of a better word) on the background behind the flower.  I stamped the flower with Black Memento and colored it with the Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend. I did use the Color Lifter to lighten it in some areas.  The "Splat" is stamped-off Gray Granite ink.  The Gray Granite and Basic White Hexagons were made with the two largest Hexagon Dies from Beautiful Shapes Dies.

The sentiment was stamped on Basic White with Night of Navy Ink and die cut with another die from Beautiful Shapes Dies.  After die-cutting the flower, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to make it sparkle.  To finish the card front I added a small bow made from the White Crinkled Seam Binding.  Turning it into Navy ribbon was quick and easy with my Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends.  A couple of Basic Rhinestones on the sentiment and one of the larger ones in the center of the flower add just the right amount of bling.  (I love bling!)

To decorate the inside of the card I added a few more hexagons die cut from Sun Prints DSP.  Behind the card, you can also see a peak of the envelope where a few more hexagons were used to decorate its front.

What do you think?  I was happy with how the card turned out.  I've always loved the Night of Navy and Gray Granite color combination, and the Sun Prints DSP combines it beautifully.
