CHIC TEXTURED SEASHELLS

This week I am featuring the Season of Chic Bundle and today, I have used the Seashells.

This card shows off two additional designs from the beautiful Textured Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper collection.

I have also added a diagonal accent that uses the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  This Distressed Gold paper really needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

To add some texture, I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder for the Basic White background. This simple layout shows off two different DSP patterns that are cut to the exact same size and then adhered directly to the embossed Basic White cardstock.  The two angled strips of Distressed Gold add some visual interest.

The two seashells were colored in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral with Watercolor Pencils.  While these colors are not an exact match for the colors in the Textured Chic Designer Series Paper, they are easy to coordinate by adjusting the depth of color that you control as you use the pencils and Wink of Stella to blend them.

On Monday I shared a video where I showed how to watercolor with our Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils and a Clear Wink of Stella brush.  If you missed it, here is a link to the video on my YouTube Channel.

The die cut for the sentiment is from the Beautiful Shapes Dies.  Check out the Product List below to see more information on this die set.  It's filled with great shapes, but I seem to find myself using this particular one for sentiments much more often than I expected I would.  It's just the perfect size!

As I often do, I left the inside of my card sentiment free so that I can add an appropriate sentiment at the time I send the card.  Using a narrow decorative strip of the coordinating designer series paper and a Petal Pink Mat provides a finished look for the inside of my card.

You can also see a small peek of the envelope that has its flap covered with the other DSP design used on the card front.
