Today's card was so quick and simple, but you'd probably never think so when you look at it.
I used the Fern Stamp from the set and used sponge daubers to ink it with Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Crushed Curry to create a pretty sunset sky behind the fern. Aren't the colors pretty?
Once I stamped the image on Basic White I just snipped around the circle. I love how the fern extends a bit beyond the circle in three places. I could have die cut the image with a circle die, but I thought if I snipped close around the circle it would accentuate the little areas of the fern that extend beyond the circle. What do you think?
In keeping with the fern theme, I used the Fern 3D Embossing folder for the Basic White background.
I framed the embossed Basic White with the colors of my sky, Blueberry Bushel and Gorgeous Grape. The sentiment is from the Something Fancy sentiment stamp set.
For the inside I used the sponge daubers again to ink up the image and stamped it on the lower corner of the Basic White.
